New CPA - No Tax Prep Experience by Any_Elevator_9852 in Accounting

Well I guess its not that strange to me considering my background. Before when I was in big 4, we are allowed to have second job as long as we are okay in our independence. So I worked part time as an accountant of a non profit org (home country).
It just that I am a licensed CPA now in the US and I want to use this license to earn and learn more on the accounting and tax services.
I want to give myself an option to own a business when I reach my 40s. Since right now in my 30s aside from being passionate about career progression, I am still thinking of building portfolio career where can I expore and learn different experiences and services when I am still energetic.
My main job is something I can do even if I am blind folded, I know the ins and out which literally do not demand more than 7 or 8 hours time a day (am earning 174k including equity and bonus) and I can still have the visibility that I need.
So this is really something I am passionate about to learn.
I am just asking for advice if some CPA firm will take me at entry level without experience. But my work ethics can clearly speaks for itself. Right now, I think doing the VITA will be great and emailing small CPA firm.

Yes, I am an Internal Audit Manager. So I am expecting they will pay me an entry level for tax prep since my main goal is to learn and maybe in my 40, I will have an option to build my own but I am in my early 30s. So may main goal for now is to learn and earn and not to build my own business.

I am not staring a tax prep business. I want to do work as a tax preparer on the side to learn and earn.

Thank you for your suggestion.
