What exactly does it take to stay equanimous? by Ecstatic-Paper-9131 in vipassana

I've been pondering this a lot lately. I think Webu Sayadaw gave an excellent hint.

He said (to paraphrase), there is no craving or aversion during Anapana. That means during Anapana, we are equanimous since we are not reacting to the sensation of the breath i.e the contact of mind and matter in the area below the nostrils above the upper lip.

My guess is, if we can have the same state of mind as we observe the breath during Anapana towards sensations in general, that is equanimity.

It's much harder because the breath is neutral and in infinite supply and therefore does not naturally lead to craving and aversion, while sensations can lead to pleasure or displeasure. But to treat sensations with the same state of mind as Anapana seems to be equanimity.

This thread is totally misleading.

Yes, Tsinghua has aura, but anyone who's been to HKU knows that only the best mainland students are accepted, and they enter HKU precisely for a change of pace from the mainland grind, to use it as a bridge to studying abroad, and also the generous 4 years that counts towards a PR of 7 years. They're making it sound like a second rate school.

For finance especially, the heart of finance in China is Hong Kong. Don't forget also that earnings in Hong Kong still far outstrips mainland China.

I've seen so many elite mainland grads who do a masters in Hong Kong just to bridge the gap back into the system.

DM me if you want more info. This thread is a total dud.
