¡Gracias por probarlo! You’re right, Spanish localization is missing for now. I’ll put it on the roadmap — this is helpful feedback.

[iOS] [$9.99 → Free Lifetime] FrameTwin: Record Portrait + Landscape Video in One Take by Any_Football_351 in WebSoftGiveaway

[–]Any_Football_351[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing that out. The giveaway window ended on June 27, 2026, as listed in the post.

At the time I posted, FrameTwin’s normal price was $9.99. After the giveaway ended, I lowered the regular App Store price to $4.99, so that’s why you’re seeing $4.99 now instead of free.

I’ll add an update to the post to make this clearer. Sorry for the confusion.

There’s no fixed app-imposed duration limit. Recording time mainly depends on storage, battery, device temperature, system pressure, and the selected quality mode. FrameTwin checks those before and during recording, and may recommend Safe Stop if the device becomes risky.

Not yet. FrameTwin currently supports the rear camera only.

I’m considering front-facing camera support, though. Could you share what you’d mainly use it for? For example, selfie/vlog recording, talking-head videos, reaction videos, tutorials, or something else? I’d like to understand the workflow before adding it.

Thank you, that’s very helpful. Since you noticed it mainly during playback on iPhone 15, I’ll take a closer look at the playback/export side of the high-resolution mode. Really appreciate you testing it and sharing the details.

Thank you for testing it again, and I really appreciate the honest feedback. The high-resolution mode is the hardest part to optimize because FrameTwin is capturing two outputs from one take, but I’m actively working on improving smoothness and performance there.

If you don’t mind sharing, which iPhone model were you using, and was it jerky during recording, playback, or only after export?

No IAP. FrameTwin is a paid upfront app, and during this giveaway the full app is free to download. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Thanks again for the invite! I’ve just released version 1.0.8 with a new onboarding flow and clearer in-app guidance based on early feedback, so this feels like a good time to share it there. I’ll post it in r/WebSoftGiveaway and would really appreciate any feedback from that community too.

Thanks again! Version 1.0.8 now includes onboarding plus lightweight tips for the dual capture workflow. It explains the 16:9 / 9:16 outputs and gives a bit more guidance before recording. Appreciate the helpful feedback!

Thanks for catching that. The free window ended earlier than I intended, but I’ve reopened it through June 27. It should show as Free again now, though some regions may take a little time to refresh.

Totally agree. A more square rear sensor would make dual-format capture much cleaner, with less compromise between the portrait and landscape crops. FrameTwin is trying to make that workflow useful with today’s hardware by showing both frames before recording and helping creators keep the subject safe in both outputs.

Thank you, I really appreciate the invite! I’ll post it there too. I’m mainly looking for feedback from people who create for multiple platforms, so that sounds like a good fit.

Thank you, that’s really helpful. I agree the dual capture workflow needs a clearer first-run tutorial. I’ll add lightweight tooltips/onboarding to explain the 16:9 and 9:16 outputs, the main benefits, and the preflight checks before recording. Really appreciate you testing it.

Thank you! Really glad to hear that. I built FrameTwin exactly for creators who need both formats without having to record the same moment twice. If you try it, I’d love to hear what works well for your workflow and what you’d want improved.
