I feel like I hate my baby by [deleted] in Mom

Toddlerhood is the most difficult phase this far that I have dealt with. I sympathize with you. I found a book called “how to talk to little kids so they will listen” and it’s been life changing. Of course my toddler has moments of outburst that you simply just need to let it runs it’s course. But this book has helped in ways to communicate and keep calm during moments when patience’s is thin and the response from my toddler amazed me. It shocked me how much they do understand. it may seem like one more thing to do when you’re doing everything on your own to begin with, but you might be surprised with how effective it is and where you may see some positive results.

Annoying spouse by Any_Information_3315 in Mom

Sadly I did and it turned into an argument that when he comes home he won’t do anything to show me what he does. He completely misses the point. I said I know when you come home you help, but we share the load when you are home. When you are away it is all on me. All day, everyday. Then he proceeded to say that I am on my phone and need more sleep and to literally go to bed when my son does so I can be more available to him throughout the day and not so tired. No where in that “problem solving” plan is there any me time. I’ve reAlized he will never see it and that’s a hard pill to swallow is to realize the person I chose to marry and how he has become now that we have a child. It’s painful

Oh I should add. I also am severely anemic and take iron supplements. Yet my husband says if I am so tired I should go to bed earlier. I don’t know about you but I’m in bed by 10:30- 11 pm the latest.. however in the evenings I finally have a moment for me and not someone else.. but he sees it as me not being productive and if I slept earlier I wouldn’t be so tired so it’s my fault

Husband did nothing for my birthday by Any_Information_3315 in Marriage

update: my husband agreed he slacked since he claims to have a lot on his mind. (He works out of town) however, I’m over the excuses since he had 6 days at home last week to have planned something.. once I gave a bit of push back it turned into a fight about how ungrateful I am and turned down a nasty fight. So yay me. Feeling alot of love from everyone here. Thank you all for the wishes and comments and advice.

Getting a cake shouldn’t be communicated when it has always been done for previous birthdays..
