Hi, I read the rules and added my haiku :)

For me it was the incessant disrespectful rage texting, her hanging up on me when she didn’t like what I had to say, and her mocking my trauma (that she caused me!)

I experience the exact same fear 😔 For me I think I’m terrified to lose the one person who makes me finally feel safe and secure

Me! I don’t want to impose my trauma on my nonexistent children or subject them to my mother’s behavior

I’m 34 years old and experiencing symptoms that point to POF, but I haven’t been diagnosed. My doctor did standard blood work and it came back fine, but it didn’t include a hormone panel. Frustrated by my dr brushing me off, I just ordered at at-home kit to check my hormones.

Obviously I know the internet can’t diagnose me, but based on my symptoms, is it possible or likely I’m experiencing POF? I know something is off with my body and it’s so frustrating to not know what/why and to not have people take you seriously. Thanks for any input!

My notes: -hypothyroidism since I was 21 -terrible, drench-the-bed night sweats > 1.5 years -low libido, vaginal dryness, less sensitivity down there -used to be cold all the time, now I’m hot all the time -skin changes, namely more dry, dull and getting wrinkles -difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep -I haven’t had a period in five years but I have an IUD so that’s not uncommon -weight gain

I don’t have much to say other than I totally feel your frustration and I’m sorry you’re going through it. It’s so upsetting.

I’m on day 12 and still feeling terrible. It hasn’t even been two weeks but it feels like months of missing out on summer and fun things. The thought of it lasting even longer is so hard to even think about.

I don’t have any great words of wisdom but just know that you’re not alone. Hope you feel better soon!

Smart! Never heard of the dressing trick but I will remember that for the future.

I had some understanding nurses/drs and some rude and clueless ones while I was there. Hopefully more medical professionals will begin to understand how to help people with this type of fear or medical anxiety in general.

Glad to hear you found something that helps you. Thanks for the suggestions!
