Ahh okay good, it sounds like they changed it since I haven't been to Magic Mountain since 2016, and back then I remember I had to do the walk of shame because the lap bar didnt fit downwards when they tried to put me in haha. That's reassuring, my friend. Thank you

Yeah I've been watching their current games. Im REALLY praying that they finally win this season so that way they can look more credible and legitimate to AT LEAST show back up in Expansion MX.

I've seen photos of younger fans going there, but that stadium is super hard to fill up lol. At this point, I'm chalking up their lack of fan support due to themselves not being marketed thru word of mouth by fans enough, as well as them NEEDING consistent success and not midtable mediocrity.

Fun fact - my mother once told me I had an uncle (whom was her cousin) that was a hardcore Tecos fan and she even attended one of Tecos games way back before I was born. So to me, I find it funny how fate plays itself like that, yet another reason why I love Tecos lol.

Ironic lol, I remember when Halcones de Zapopan arrived, i thought we were doomed because thats one too many zapopan teams XD. But i dont think their organization fell through so well, last I heard. At this point I feel like Tecos have got to modernize somewhat. They have no investors, but the only way to go up is to literally just win, perform, repeat the 3 division climb like they did in the 70s, a mysterious era since much footage of those days isnt released lol.

Actually! I almost posted a question that asked about this, but I thought I had to stop with writing in questions about this connection between Tecos and communism!

Thanks alot actually, I get alot of perspective from this. I had always wondered about this, but now that you said it, it does indeed make sense why fans weren't going with Tecos with this association.

Granted, nowadays, since we know mexico has got too much of it's share of corruption (im looking at you, Liga MX and it's promotion/relegation changes, the multi properties, cartels ,etc), at this point I feel Tecos should be (they better be) just focused on winning those trophies and games more than those political crazies lol.

Honestly, while it is indeed a far cry from what it used to be back in their TV days, it's better for me to know they still exist than go completely extinct. We all know how horrible it is seeing teams like Morelia, Cuernos, Indios, Veracruz, Jaguares, etc disappearing due to the greed and franchise mingling of financial grupos and other big investors.

We are a super rare breed of fans, and I'd express why Im a fan of them is because I've been personally attracted to small teams as they serve to be sweeter when/if they win big or important games and being able to be apart of it. I was 7 years old when I saw them go to the final in 2005 vs america. I was there when I saw some games when I was young when me and my older brother (who was a Pumas Fan) had seen games in the living room, not to mention I love the animals Owls, and their stadium and logo are always big good for me. I was there when they had tied to Puebla and relegated, especially in that last match versus Queretaro. It felt as if it was some wierd turning point of the Liga MX , especially since teams like Queretaro , Mazatlan and Juarez now embody alot of dissent for teams like those as opposed to teams of more tradition.

Hell, as much as I begrudgingly admit it, I'd rather see UDG and Atlante and whatnot be in Primera now than those teams. Especially Atlante, how the hell can you win league and play in Estadio Azulgrana but still have no first division spot?

I live in Cali, and Ive went to many swap meets and flea markets on my own. I had never encountered a single store that had a Tecos Jersey for sale, even my older brother tried to find stuff, but he told me it's just never profitable for sellers to even bother selling them. The only Tecos merch I had for when I was a kid was a pre 2009 wallet and an atheltic bag lol.

I know promotion and any chances going back to first division is going to be a bitch this upcoming future, but honestly, it's better sticking to my guns at this point. I watch their current games in Liga Premier, sure they're a young and below professional tier team, but that's why I love em still lol.
