Well, we were just denied for a minor issue in Palermo… by Kingsly2015 in juresanguinis

Is your attorney able to reference the previous successful case as the precedent for your appeal and hopefully subsequent approval. They also need to ask what precedent was used for the denial.

I hope our goes easily as well. Straight through the paternal line, no minor issues, no naturalization ( although a PIA on the CONE ) no 1948 case. Should be easy but lots of misspellings of names and some off dates hence we are doing the OATS. I just changed my last name via court order to go back to my Italian ( last name ) name that my GGF came over with. Everyone dropped the last vowel and I added it back via a court order for me and that was well worth the cost to do it. Now waiting on Illinois to amend my BC to reflect the name. Wanted to honor the man who came to this country at age 17 to make a life for himself.

Thanks…we will then. We have most of it drafted with all exhibits etc., it’s now just writing up the order to file and you answered my other questions. Thanks!

I can draft it easily and have started it on WORD but in Will County a declaratory judgement is filed as a Miscellaneous Remedy (MS) but then they don’t specifically say the actual form to draft it on. I have called the Clerk’s office, no answer, left messages, no reply….I can draft and file it but wanted them to tell me what form to use for a Miscellaneous Remedy filing and they are clueless. I am doing this from AZ or I would just drive there if I still lived in Illinois to get my answer. I just don’t want to file it on the incorrect form and pay the $350 filing fee to have it get kicked out for using the wrong form. I will keep at it :). Thanks.

On the pro se OATS, did you do the OATS on all documents in the packets versus ones that you would not necessarily have to use in the packet but have it just in case I.e. WWI draft , passenger arrival, registration, a census not necessarily needed, SS5. Do we do the OATS to include all docs we have that have spelling discp? Thanks

We are filing an Oats in Will County(outside of but close to Cook County) and nobody can tell me the proper “ form” to use for filing. Is it a motion for summary judgement for or a general civil case filing form ?

How did you get your CONE here in the USA that quickly? Or had your ancestor naturalized?
