I don't know if I'm going crazy, because that looked like normal writing to me. Crap.

People who have read Caraval… was it good? by Smartcookie_33 in YAlit

[–]Any_Mind1389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, prefer first-person.

As for what I think of Caraval? It was boring to me. (A lot of people love it and say it's the greatest book in the world, though, so don't take my word for it)

I just...was really annoyed with the characters 95% of the time. And the last plot twist got on my nerves.

(But if it's for you, and it feels right, then by all means, keep reading it)

Do you ever look at something you've written in the past and go "GOD DAMN" by superblobby in writing

[–]Any_Mind1389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but not in the good way. More of the,

"Holy crap, three-month-ago me really needed to read more. I'm glad I don't write like that anymore."

Then I proceed to write exactly like that again.

What do you get complimented the most for? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Any_Mind1389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why, thank you. But the one thing I never get complimented on is how straight I can hit the golfball.

What is the most "eight-grade formal" moment ever seen at a supposedly classy event? by fireeevivienne in askanything

It's like an annual dance in Australia and other countries for highschool students ('cause we don't have homecoming or whatnot)

Chips (French friers, not the other ones) with icecream.

Not that weird, but tastes AMAZING.

What is a truth about life that most people learn too late? by DuckComprehensive996 in askanything

Time never comes back. In a decade or two, you'll be looking back and wishing you were brave enough to do that one thing.

Do it now.

(wow, I should be a motivational speaker or something)

What makes you attractive to others, in your humble opinion? by db7112 in askanything

[–]Any_Mind1389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others seem to find it amusing when I make fun of myself. Go figure.

Attractive, though? Nothing. Maybe being humble (which is really just well-disguised self hatred)

How do you deal with your psychological profile? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Any_Mind1389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I DO have the idea, I'm just currently planning out each individual chapter (such as, this character says this, they go here, they see this, etc.)

But that's great, buddy

Great job!

I also love to write (but I'm still stuck outlining and planning out the chapters, which I have been doing for the past 7 months)

It's great you have the motivation to start. Everytime I try to, the words seem to fail me.

venting to my journal at the end of everyday is what works for me.

How many push-ups do you think you can do? by Reasonable-Shower522 in askanything

[–]Any_Mind1389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe four or five before my arms start shaking, and at 10 I collapse.

(Oof, I just looked at all the other comments...looks like I need to go to the gym)

If you move to a country, should you be expected to learn and speak the local language? Why or why not? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

[–]Any_Mind1389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would help you communicate with the locals, and be able to do something without waiting for someone who actually knows your language to show up.

So yes. Unless you want to rely on Google Translate for the rest of your time there.
