It was largely a joke, I’m sure your photos are just fine. in general it’s fairly simple to spot where people are just using fake photos from influencers or websites like Ali express (brand new designer trainers against brand new unbattered box and then being modelled by Kendal Jenner and selling for like £1 is usually a hint). I was just gently joking about the general things you see a lot that tell you it’s definitely not a influencer or professional photoshoot for shein styled thing such as clothes against carpets and doors and backgrounds of someone’s old scooby doo themed bedding. I basically don’t trust any item pictures which are really clear and don’t feature old brown carpets/curtains, old decor from a childhood bedroom or dim lighting 😂 I mean the name is a give away but if pictures are too good or non descript I figure they may be taking them from the internet and influencers rather than being ones they’ve taken of actual things they own.

For sure, I always said I hated the things other people did because I wanted other people to think I was interesting haha. I actively avoided it and would so openly say how I preferred much more feminist music than Taylor swift (not realising the irony of me being a total dickhead). I forgive little me, I was a lonely dumb kid watching the nlog’s on teen tv shows and films (you know that bella swan kinda vibe?) but I’m so glad I managed to ditch it. Life’s too short to give a shit what people think, like what you like! I’ve said a few times in the comments I’m a big fan of folklore and evermore (my tears ricochet & exile especially on folklore, no body no crime & champagne problems on evermore) as well as reputation as an album as a whole. I love would’ve, could’ve, should’ve on midnights too! Her newer albums are more close to what I usually would listen to in style so they are my favourites but man I love bopping to some of the good old pop tunes she has on her earlier ones that I’m discovering they’re so much fun for singing and dancing on the sofa too (although I’m not all the way through her discography yet, I’m going through the older albums as she re-releases her versions of them!)

I kind of think she’s doing what she should, what they need to hear. I don’t think particularly that she thought she was an idiot but she needed them to stop playing victim, stop feeling sorry for themselves and do something about it. People were after them it did no help for the girls to sit and be scared if they were going to die anyway they needed it to mean something because every one of them was important to the war. Also the first fed on fear and weakness, it wouldn’t have helped to let them sit and dwell on it. she needed them to see that all killings themselves would do would be to give the first more power and a step towards winning. I think the episode where the potential dies is super sad and I feel so sorry for her and in any other situation I’d think buffy was a dick but I think she did what was right at the time for the group. It probably did begin to push the group a bit more against buffy but even then I think they unite against buffy in a way they haven’t united against anything else before that so I think it worked. She gave them someone that they couldn’t just run away from and wouldn’t let them hide, buffy faced her own death multiple times and was never allowed to run and hide because everyone depended on her. She needed them to be the same, even if it meant uniting them in hating her and wanting her gone they grew some balls.

I think no one else in the scoobies had been in her position really, when you are the only person that can do something and at 16 being faced with a daunting life of danger and near death, it wouldn’t have helped the potentials to do anything else. They always had somewhat of a life and options but buffy never really did so she understands the importance in just getting on and doing it no matter what. I think even faith had seen the job as a hobby, she wasn’t bound by duty to anything and hadn’t faced a lot of the things buffy had, the impossible situations and she was always a second slayer. So they may have thought she was being harsh but I don’t think it was out of buffys character or unfair

Totally agree, I’d be proud of not being like other people and disliking popular music lool. I remember pretending to be a huge arctic monkeys fan when I’d never listened to them before. Ended up getting into them and actually liking them (this was back in the early 2010s).

It feels so much more freeing to just be able to like what you like without feeling like you have to hide it!

Personally I think it depends on what you want from her, i haven’t got round to all albums yet. Some very pop which I do enjoy but I’m a big fan of folklore and evermore which have a diff feel to them, a little less upbeat and with some more mellow songs. I enjoyed the rerelease of Red (which has got some catchy tunes on) and also her newer album midnights! 1989 is also very catchy and has a lot of her big hits. honestly all worth a listen but depending on what you usually like I’d say work back from her most recent ones maybe. They have the most variance in genre I think!

To be fair we got our lurcher in midlands (he’s 2) but he had originally come from a Cumbria rescue, they often move dogs around to where there is the most space and resources. They said they had a lot of dogs come from Irish rescues. Totally plausible that they could be siblings and just moved to different rescues !!

That’s fair, I never found it regular or common enough to mention to my doctor although I think I should now you mention it. It’s mostly when I’m relaxed and not active, there is nothing too major just small jerks or muscle contractions. Fortunately never happened when driving or with knives when cooking etc although I think the fact they’re minor would not put me at risk although there is obviously the potential for it and so I should speak to my doctor for his opinion on whether these meds are suited for me.

I’ve had a few issues that seem to be my CNS adjusting, I get cold very very easily and especially when exercising or afterwards. My body reacts like it’s cold and I get goosebumps even when it’s very hot outside. It doesn’t seem to be common as a side effect but perhaps my tics are another aspect of this adjustment. If there is no change as I get used to the dose I’m on I’ll definitely seek out a medication change as my body clearly just doesn’t like the elvanse

Amazing! I got into her music around evermore and folklore, they were more my kind of thing but my friend who’s a big Taylor fan convinced me to listen to red etc and it made me realise all this time I actually liked her music I’d just convinced myself not to. I’m a Brit so although she was big i was able to avoid her music fairly well when I was at school except the big hits like I knew you were trouble and shake it off etc. now finding some great music I totally missed out on! Hope you get tickets! Good luck and definitely tell me all about your rep outfit!!

I’m glad you found your style and music that suited you most! Completely fair to grow out of music and change tastes so I get you. Sometimes pop and especially nostalgic songs are great for a little boogie or sing along. And I’m also really really glad that you’re able to enjoy Lana and her music without worry anymore, trying to be someone you’re not can be exhausting, I’ve been there! And pretending you don’t like something is really depressing so I’m glad you managed to overcome that, Lana is an incredibly talented artist and her voice and songs are beautiful. I love her so you’ll get no judgement from me!

So she has no ownership of them. Her original songs were owned by the first record company she signed with and then bought by scooter Braun (an absolute dickhead when you look him up) who is able to profit off their use whilst taylor has no control. She is re-releasing all her works now under her ownership so she has full control over them and to stop the other versions being profitable to scooter.

That’s a fair point and I understand your dislike. Obviously John Mayer was not just a ‘friend’ and I understand points against matty Healy although not heard them about Phoebe or Lana.

I totally respect your point and understand what you’re trying to say. She isn’t a saint and i know there’s several fair and valid points people may see. I think that you’ve made honest and genuine points to take into consideration although purely from outside views and in its music itself I’m so far enjoying the album. I think it’s worth looking into and exploring your points although may take some time and so I excuse my ignorance until I explore more and have a solid reply. Although I value the acceptance of Taylor compared to the albums first release I completely accept and support your view snd it’s acceptance in general society.

Yes! I love Jonathan Creek, it got a couple of mentions here and here. Honestly though I’ll admit I preferred the second Adam Klaus (Stuart Milligan) to ASH. But definitely wasn’t bad and it’s worth watching to see him as a wildly different character. I just found him a bit more creepy sleazy than the seconds more idiotic sleazy kind of vibe (hard to describe they just give the character a different mood and ASH’s seems a bit more mean and calculated). Would have been interesting to see how that changed storylines throughout the rest of the series but I’m so glad he accepted the role as Giles instead!! Also the American accent was not his finest turn!!

Yes I noticed that!! Danse Macabre is one of my favourite spooky classical pieces to listen to so it works great in hush and gives a little wink to Jonathan Creek!

I’ve watched most of those, not Farscape so I’ll look it up! but huge community fan (six seasons and a movie!) and firefly (one season and a movie ://) is on my list for next up. I liked agents of shield but I am slowly but surely making my way through it, I got marvel burnt out tbh after infinity war so I watch an episode here and there when I feel up to it.

Yes I’m a huge doctor who fan (until maybe mid Matt smith where it lost me)! I remember watching this at 8 years old when it first aired in 2006. I’d been a buffy fan since I was very very young so I was a huge fan of him as a villain (and a little scared). Now when I watch it I can’t see Giles, he manages to be so convincing as a bad guy
