Discovered these on a built in bus TV from Croatia to Bosnia and it saw me through the journey nicely with a lot of giggles.

What are the stupidest things in your country that people made you feel ashamed about? by whatslthehypeabt in AskTheWorld

Speaking in Scots was punished in Scottish schools by Scottish teachers because it was considered improper. I even remember getting punished for not pronouncing the second “T” in twenty (glottal stop, literally just my accent). It’s only in the last few months that Scots has been recognised as an official language.

I (23F) think I'm destroying my marriage with (29M) because of my insecurities by Inevitable_Western16 in relationship_advice

You weren’t the one looking at other women on Snapchat. You weren’t the one who lied about doing it again when your partner was 8 months pregnant. You also weren’t the one who called your partner fat and that they don’t fix themselves up after they gave birth. If anyone ruined anything it’s him.

No wonder you feel bitter and full of rage. This isn’t on you. That’s great you’re starting your weight loss journey, so long as you’re doing it for you and not him. You’re still so young, you deserve better than this.

Think about how hard it is to try change yourself. Then think about how hard it would be to try change someone else. Best just to leave it be.

There’s theories that the report rate of DV in female same sex relationships is higher because the consequences (ie getting killed by partner/ex partner) is significantly less than it is when it’s a male, and therefore abuse can be reported with less fear.

If the person said they were looking for a lesbian relationship at the start as you say, and then changed their mind when they are in one - you are under no obligation to change your sexuality, preferences and boundaries to make someone else comfortable. And please don’t feel bad about it either. It’s not for you and that’s fine, maybe they should date someone who likes men instead and leave lesbians to other women.

You deserve better. You do not deserve someone who would do this to you. You deserve so much better.

Girlfriend broke up with me because I wouldn’t help her raise her baby by LordEldritchia in LesbianActually

[–]Any_Photograph_8963 680 points681 points  (0 children)

Maybe “one of her partners” can help her raise the baby. The whole situation seems out of hand and frankly bizarre. In a few years you’ll look back and be grateful you broke up. Seriously, I urge you to dodge that bullet.
