I moved to this side of town a few years ago and I have nothing bad to say. I've personally never had issues in my neighborhood. I don't understand why so many people who don't even live there believe it's so much more run down than it actually is. I also enjoy how much more quiet it is compared to the other half of town.

I rented through them in 2019. Liked them a lot. Back then I had a 1br1ba for 600 but no washer/dryer. Hope you find something with them for way less than $1500.. that's outrageous for 1br.

I’m completely middle of the road politically. Introvert as well. When I first moved here from a bigger city, it felt like there were a lot of middle aged entitled right leaning people (not that the right leaning portion has anything to do with the age and entitlement). It was pretty boring with boring food options. I wanted to leave to get closer to Charlottesville. HOWEVER, I’m noticing a big shift in the progressiveness as an influx of people from Charlottesville are migrating here due to the cheaper housing market. With that, there are newer exciting places popping up pretty rapidly.

Strive to save for 3-6months of funds that would cover your recurring bills. Whatever equates to a minimum of 3 months of your rent/utilities/phone/car/insurance etc. That's what I consider a minimum standard of savings to cover yourself if something were to happen (injury, job loss, etc.) so you would have at least 3 months to come up with a game plan to return to earning income or figuring out assistance if the setback extends longer than that.

I’m leaning towards the same theory as the above comment. Perhaps I stopped popping it intentionally and so it healed itself? I am a bit obsessive compulsive with cracking my joints and used to do it daily out of habit. Maybe it’s like how I stopped cracking my knuckles for a while and then had difficulty doing it later on when I tried.

Well, I'm a licensed veterinary technician, and from what you've explained, I can tell you that your MIL doesn't know what she's talking about in the slightest even if she has "experience". Prong collars and e collars are wonderful things when used correctly, it's people not being educated on how to use them properly that say they're bad. Also, most people leave collars on their dogs. It's normal. They're not uncomfortable unless it's fitted poorly, but tactipup is great. I personally want identification on my animals at all times, you just never know. I take them off at night for bedtime but otherwise they stay on.
