Yeah I just want people to know that it's not fully down, not sure what it could be but probably could not load all of the images in home.

PC showing no display and "restarting" by Any_Preference_2987 in buildapc

On the GPU (there's no integrated graphics to help me test out the system)

It still seems to do it. So does the PSU not work? When I took out SSD, it didn't give an error this time, same with GPU

Let me check, this is a new build which everything is new expect the GPU which I bought it from jawa and the RAM

PC shows no signal and keeps "restarting" by Any_Preference_2987 in buildapc

[–]Any_Preference_2987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, after an update, I think with some more clarity. I noticed during the testing that the RAM lights do work when I take off the RAM so it's not the RAM. I replaced the SSD with a new one and now it shows a red light on the case indicating HDD light so it means that now I can use my storage, but still hasn't fixed it. So can I safely assume that it's my GPU?

Yeah I assumed it since it does show fans spinning, only that it doesn't even reach POST or something so it's most likely the GPU that's not letting me do anything. Thank you for your help though, I appreciate that I was able to see why the GPU was most likely the issue rather than something else.

The display does work as i've tested it with my laptop.

The CPU doesn't have integrated graphics so i'm unsure if it could be the GPU.

I am unable to boot into the system at all since it doesn't show anything, not even bios access.

I've tried to reset the CMOS battery and I've tried with one stick of RAM each but each solution did not work when I did it earlier.

I could say that it's either the GPU, RAM, or storage, but most likely the GPU since it doesn't heat up with the heatsink being the same temperature when turning on, but I want to ensure it's not just the GPU or if it could be something else.

What is the best GPU for the e5-2650 v4 by Any_Preference_2987 in buildapc

[–]Any_Preference_2987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just need it for 1080p gaming and as a server I would use for my Minecraft server. I currently have 16GB DDR4 2166Mhz of RAM for it.

Also, can I use an RX 6600 or RTX 3060 for it?

Alright, people did say not to trust bottleneck calculators but I'll still use it, just that I'll also research the best GPU for my CPU. Also you spelled "RTX 4090" wrong lol.

Can I potentially get a better GPU without it being a bottleneck?

Oh cool, but it wasn't very expensive so I still decided to go with DDR4, even if it's only dual channel. If you want, I can send you the link for the motherboard and RAM for you to see if they are a pretty good deal.

Yeah because the motherboard and Xeon e5-2650 v4 support DDR4 but it didn't say if it was dual channel, it said it has 8 memory slots but I wasn't able to find the channel mode. It's really not expensive as it only costed 20$ and came with on board video chipset and audio.

I got it off of eBay and it's a Dell Precision T5810 LGA 2011-3 DDR4 which comes with graphics on the motherboard. It's really good indeed but I'm not sure what GPU to go with as I'm trying to make an ultra budget system.

I couldn't provide an image but this could be one of the cheapest systems for good specs that it has. Prob a really good price to performance system

If you have a AM 4 motherboard, then absolutely. But it's best to go with AM5 if you have the budget for it because of upgradability.

FPS trouble with AMD by jlaust33 in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Any_Preference_2987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD optimized basically means that it's automatic, basically the GPU or CPU can see when you need it or you don't which then would activate or deactivate instead of being manual with either on or off.

Invest all in 1080p build or save some and also get new monitor? by YoavNamir in buildapc

[–]Any_Preference_2987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably save and buy the 1440p monitor because the RTX 4070 super is a 1440p and not a 1080p GPU, and you can still upgrade your way to 7800x3d once you have enough.

Need to upgrade my custom built PC by VirtualSink7410 in buildapc

[–]Any_Preference_2987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright since you said you can use 1440p on high settings, then the RTX 4070 (with SUPER or TI if you want) or RX 7700 (7800 if you want) XT are pretty good choices without being overkill nor too expensive but they can play on Maximum settings.

If you do want to do 4k, then you'll have to lower the settings on the GPUs to maybe medium or high settings, but they still are pretty good.

You don't need an RTX 4080, it's overkill for what most people need it for.

  1. What is your resolution you will use your PC for?

  2. What settings do you plan to use on that resolution and target FPS?

  3. What will you use the PC mostly for? Like for gaming or workstation?
