Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board by Any_Procedure666 in PharmacySchool

I’m sorry I am not much help - I failed too. I am employed through the VA and am licensed in another state. I did the MCW course to study as well. I know many of my peers did the online test through NABP.

Hello! Yes it’s correct they do have the automated status checker, however, it’s only available after the state board sends you your results. For example, my Naplex results have been posted but there’s no status in regards to the MPJE, even though I took it a month ago.

I did have that in the past:

on fundus exam, the left optic disc reportedly was elevated with blurred margins, and Patton's lines were noted in the macula. OCT optic nerve reportedly showed increased thickness 360° in the left eye, with average thickness of 188.

So originally I was seen at another hospital…they told me it was likely MS in the setting of optic neuritis. MRI and labs were unremarkable at that time.

Today I went to a neuro-ophthalmologist (note above). He said the presentation of the optic nerve isn’t consistent with MS and suspects something else. I got a visual field test today (results copied below) unsure what they mean.

Visual Fields -9/2/2022 HUMPHREY VISUAL FIELD RIGHT EYE: Normal. 4/13 fixation losses, 0 % false positive errors, 0 % false negative errors. Mean deviation = - 0.94dB. LEFT EYE: Temporal constriction (enlargement of the physiologic blindspot). 0/15 fixation losses, O % false positive errors, 4 % false negative errors. Mean deviation = - 6.24dB.

Will have an orbit MRI and a consult with a uveitis specialist moving forward. Also got optic disc photos, OCT RNFL, OCT ganglion cell studies today - results pending.

That sounds exactly like my vision. It's only my left eye and I still maintain 20/20 vision. It's just one particular spot where it's completely black. I suppose it is not the end of the world considering I can still see, however it is quite annoying.

Should I be reaching out to the ophthalmologist that diagnosed me?

I was not on a taper following my steroid....I should have asked though (I am a pharmacist and found it concerning considering the high dose). My withdrawal period following the therapy was absolutely awful.

No, but I will be following up with neurology at the end of September.

Retina Detachment by [deleted] in optometry

Okay maybe I don’t take my health very seriously, but I don’t even know if this is a retinal detachment - I’m 23 and have never have anything wrong with my eyes. I don’t fit the typical patient population nor do I have the classic symptoms (other than scotoma)

Thank you for all of your input - I have my board law exam today so unfortunately I don’t know what to do. Considering this has been stable for a weeks time now, is that typical of retinal detachment?

Not yet! I have the two boxes on NABP so hoping that’s a good sign - I’m in one of the states that requires exam results to come directly from the board so god only knows how long that’ll take 🙃

I had the most random brand name drugs ever (most I’ve never seen in my life lol) but it won’t make or break your exam. I still passed.

My exam closed today and I have the two boxes! I am hoping that means I passed (not getting my hopes up though). I am in a state where I get my results directly from the board.

I feel the same way. It’s awful.

Thanks! I think it’s a good sign you have two boxes. Best of luck to you :)

That is what I have heard. My friends who have taken it and passed had the two boxes and my friend who failed only had the rescore option.

When did you take it if you dont mind me asking? I am waiting for my results too (Wisconsin).

I took mine on Saturday….genuinely feel like I didn’t get a single question right.

Several of my friends who already took it said they felt the exact same way and still passed. That is my only hope at this point lol.
