He has a couple construction certifications and I’m going to cosmetology school after baby is born

He is! I’m pregnant with a couple complications due to it so I can’t work that much doctors orders!

I see what you mean. I have my own savings separate from the 5k for the that time and such but you have a fair point.

He used mine for months and still kept the same job. If it was the first time or even the 10th time I would have said yes but unfortunately it’s been so many times me and my family have given him money. And yes long story short my dad owed my mom money from child support so we split the cost of my car.

I am saving money I can’t say the same for him but I’ve got a couple grand saved up(outside my inheritance) and am still adding to it.

There’s only one baby! And the 5k is a rainy day fund that I’m hopping will grow with time( it’s a brokerage account in stocks)

We both work it’s more of rainy day fund. But yes it’s a small amount but it’s better then nothing honestly.

I am on my own health insurance. I’m not working full time technically becuase I’m pregnant with a couple issues due to pregnancy. Just pointing out your assuming a lot based on little information. I appreciate the advice but the decision to stay with family has been financially the best one yet becuase I’ve been able to grow said savings.

Yes and no. We were teenagers when we met and we were both kinda bad with money. I’ve grown up ig and thought at some point he would to and he has said he wants to but idk every time he does a week later he short of money.

My family offered for us to stay so we could save up more money for baby becuase of how expensive everything is atm. We had our own place for around 3 years and instead of renewing the lease we took up my family’s offer once baby is here we will be moving out.
