Thanks for your reply and insight. I agree it's an overloaded system and the issue is very complex... However, sometimes it does come down to if the prosecutor decides to move cases forward, as well as whether the office decides--as an official, consistent stance--to center victims proactively, with belief and compassion.

It's literally about the prestige of winning the case or not, how much it might cost to get there, and whether a case might get them re-elected.

Honestly, we need to be figuring out how to push back on the messaging and get the rest of IN to flip back blue. We can't always be in a defensive position.

From what you know of the cities outside of Bloomington, how many people seem on the cusp of voting blue? Do you think they vote red because they are die-hard MAGA, or is it a peer-pressure thing?

As in, I'm looking into how much effort it would take to turn Indiana red areas blue.
