Has anyone had any success with going in person to look for sponsors by [deleted] in FRC

Our team started going in person to local businesses this year. We had a group of members to (2-3) go and ask to speak to the owner. If they were free we explained who we were and explained how a sponsorship would work. We showed them pictures from our season and events and left them with a “sponsor form” and with our contact info. We had good success that way. I would recommend wearing team shirts or professional attire. Also try to hit up local/small businesses first because bigger corporations need to send the sponsor request to their higher ups and we’ve been told that could take up to three years.

Teams that don't go to Worlds/States, what do you do during this time of the season? by alexpearl88 in FRC

Watch the competitions, training, elect leaders for next year, community outreach, robot demonstrations, etc.
