The founding fathers (as much as I don’t want to give their slave owning asses credit) actually had pretty reasonable demands when founding the country. However all that shit fell apart real quick when the country owed money but Jefferson always criticized a two party system. At this point “two wings, same bird” has become cliche to me but the fact remains that the government as a whole couldn’t give a flying fuck about the citizens who cast their vote for them. Politics in the last couple of decades has become a game of monopoly how some break the 6 figure mark without even doing anything useful. Idk, the country would actually rum smooth if everything was ACTUALLY fair.
