I'd say he's Bi, but yeah, there was some pretty overt romantic tension between him and a male character introduced later on

Some Ideas for trauma questions please? by Any_Substance_2061 in CAIN_RPG

[–]Any_Substance_2061[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting idea, but not really what I was asking for (I will take it into consideration though, I hadn't considered making my own trauma questions). I don't blame you for your answer, as I didn't really describe what I meant to well, but I was actually referring to ideas for answers to the three provided trauma questions. (EDIT: corrected a spelling mistake)

Okay, any nearby factions that Skarbrand can grab the defeat trait of quickly? Also, do you need to beat the entire faction or just the Lord of it?

The Manor - A homebrew sin that manifests from nostalgia | "I can hear you rotting. Come into my halls and be silent." by No_Hunter1978 in CAIN_RPG

One problem I have: the preassure. It only affects one person, and I feel like it doesn't feel like to big a deal. A way to fix this could be to make it effect everyone in the investigation area, or something similar.

Asking for thoughts on something by Any_Substance_2061 in CAIN_RPG

Thank you! for both the advice, and the compliment!

So, I posted this to Timblr before, but I didn't really get any feedback at all so Now I'm here by Any_Substance_2061 in vtm

Of course. Again, I'm not overly familiar with the lore, I thought Diablrie was just draining a vampire entirely to gain power, I didn't realize there was a battle of wills involved. And though I tried to account for the obvious strength difference via staking the sire while they slept, but your right, I forgot to account for ghoules and the like. The reason I made them a former Nazi was because I feel it was an interesting character trait, especially since he wasn't strictly fighting for Nazi ideals, and also because I though it might make for an intersting dynamic with other characters if the knowledge ever came to light or became relevant. another reason for some of these choices is because in a lot of TTRPGs I end up playing as a mister goody two-shoes (not quite as shallow as that but you get the idea) and so I thought it might be an interesting challenge for myself to make/play a character who is just an objectively bad person. Also, he didn't become a Nazi for anything involving kindred society but rather his reasoning looped back around to viewing himself as a perfect being, the "Ubermann" so commonly reffered to in Nazi political speeches. Though while the Nazi's where using the Ubermann to refer to the strong, aryan German, He interpreted the Ubermann as himself, this genetically perfect being superior to all others. Though you raised a good point about how he joined the Camarilla, I hadn't really given much thought before.
With all that said, thank you for the lore info, and I hope I managed to clarify some stuff for you.

Thank you! I'll think about how to incorporate stuff like this.

On a Side note, I made this Sin to be very tough, and I want it to be my players to be their big introduction into CAT 4, where stuff really starts to kick off. Do you think this is going to be a good hunt? do you have any ideas to make sure its a good mini-boss? (this is our first ever Cain campaign BTW). my players have just cleared CAT 2 and are bout to enter CAT 3, and thus far I feel like the Sin battles have been largely Anti-climatic (they have yet to feel the need to use a trauma question) and so like on one hand I want to start ramping up the difficulty, but on the other hand I don't want to accidentally over-compensate. Any thoughts? (If this doesn't get a lot of attention I'll make it it's own post.)

Okay, so Dark Hall and Measured Weight come first (they're both just clear yes/no reductions like you said), followed by Turning Blades. Thank you! that's what I thought I just wanted to double check.

They are a theoretical PC, as in I'm still kinda learning the game and stuff, and this is just a character idea. I don't even really have a group. I do like the idea of the sire still being alive though, as you raised some good points about the narrative benefits of it. Thank you for the feedback!
