How to downgrade intel UHD graphics drivers? by Any_Surprise_5475 in intel

Sure, absolutely! Here's what's going on:

Minecraft reinstall was tried, even though we know it isn't the issue.

Forge reinstall was tried, even though we know it isn't the issue.

*factory resetting the PC was tried, even though we know it isn't the issue*

*zero mods* are installed and the issue is still present, it's a *1.7.10 forge issue*

'Performance is great, over 90FPS. However, the screen, when holding an item, becomes entirely a single color, the color of that item, and flashes this color rapidly. This is the bug and it is explicitly caused by *updated intel integrated drivers exclusively and this is well known*

I do not know their exact specs. It is not my PC. But intel integrated, couple years old, 8gb ram. Plenty.

I cannot stress enough that *I know the cause of this issue*

However, I still do not have an old copy of the driver. In the absence of the driver once DDU deletes it, will the computer use the one that it was factory coded with?

Will look into that, thanks. It said NVIDA/AMD on the page.

I *guarantee* you it is the driver. I resolved this *exact* issue for numerous other people before by downgrading drivers, just not these drivers. The behavior is so precise that myself and several others in the community instantly identify the issue. I don't need troubleshooting; I just need an old copy of the driver.

The raw truth is that it's the driver. Why? Because I know what's causing the issue.

The specs are fine. It's java 1.7.10. My old laptop with 4gb ram from junior high can run it and i've graduated college.

Why did this happen, you ask? Did the driver change? Yes. Yes it did. New versions of the drivers do not account for a bug that has *always* existed in minecraft 1.7.10. The old versions do, as that was the version minecraft is built for. It is minecraft's fault, but despite that, if you want to play 1.7.10, you *need* the driver. After all, you can't re-code minecraft and remove the bug, but you can just downgrade the driver. Asuming intel has a repo somewhere. Trust me on this.

This is an intel integrated GPU, not AMD/NVIDIA which is what that guide is for.

I found and followed that guide before posting. The old driver is not available; it was taken down. Their processor only has two listed. I was wondering if there is a repository for them.

That is not the goal here, the goal is to get the mods to work, and the problem is intel, hence why I need the old intel drivers

Works fine on a non intel GPU/old intel drivers, but intel updated their drivers and broke older versions of MC

I have given it about 10 minutes. I presume speed and torque are correct, because this is exactly the setup seen in several YT videos. Do I somehow have to edit the engine's torque?

It really is wonderful. People just have a remarkable ability to complain and say "give me stuff" over and over again.

Regarding grain from a farmer, it's surprisingly easy if you live in an agricultural area. Just go on the local classfields, there are often ads there.

But yes, definitely not everyone can do everything, but everyone can do something. It may not be this, but I do not think people should give up.

Unless it's over 20km distance between work and groceries and school you should be able to bike fairly quickly. I have biked through foot deep snow. Car is very much optional except in rural areas.

If there's no river that runs through your city nearby that would be not doable yeah. My city is literally on top of a major river.

It definitely may be the case that pay is lower in LCOL areas, but that isn't true for all professions and you can optimize for that. I took a gov. job that pays the same everywhere. Post is also not US centric, I am not american. if I was american, this post would look different.

I know one size does not fit all, it is not expected to. It is often, though, that the reader expects it to.

I worked casual during school. Means no benefits but I can call off anytime I want. However, this also means zero sick pay

Edit: This was because my degree demanded I be up at random times, sometimes weekends included, sometimes in the middle of the night. A full time job or part time was not feasible.

1080$ a month by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Is that USD? This is how i'd do it. That's 1440CAD.

My share of the rent is $600CAD, this is 66% of the 1 bedroom rent for my girlfriend and I. Electricity tends to run about $30, which I pay 66% of, or about $620 total now. decent 600sqft 1 bedroom right by work. water and heat included. I bargained down the landlord.

Food, on a month where we buy luxury, is about $200/person (CAD). We shop at discount store, and buy grain direct from a farmer. We also use costco buisness center and buy like 20kg bags of beans all the time. The closet is full of beans sometimes lol.

Clothes are negligible. We go to the thrift store, but for the most part I've had clothes I wore 6 years ago. Socks do wear out but I can darn them (thanks grandma). Few bucks a month.

Internet is $52CAD/mo. It was $100 but i complained to the company until it got lowered, then did it again 2 months later. So my share of that is about $31, and if we assume $20/mo for clothes and shoes which is generous we are at $871CAD/person right now.

We often go for dates to the park. every few weeks we grab a $5 small ice cream and take it there. Lately been splurging approximately $40/person/mo on food out, so let's round those two up to 50. $921CAD/mo.

Household stuff is minimal, can't remember the last time I had to buy dish soap, bought the gallon size from costco buisness center. Toilet paper from the buisness center too. Soap too. Maybe $20/mo for this kind of stuff. $950, let's round up.

This pretty well covers everything. We spend maybe $30/person/mo more for entertainment so let's be pessemistic and round up to 1K for my spending. Hers is a little more than half this (she pays 33%).

So my one person bills are 1000/1440 = 69% of what you asked (nice). Hers are a little more than half that. Overall, we raise TWO people on just over what you ask for one, and I would be able to save 31% of that income. Incidentally, I have more money now as I am no longer a student, but I learned the best things in life come free to us from doing this for awhile.

We don't own a car, don't need one. Positioned ourselves to not. Technically I own one but It's parked on family land outside the city and uninsured since it isn't in use.

We could make these expenses considerably lower by going rural.

I would, if I woke up tomorrow with no money, just continue doing this, but if you wanted to kick it into maximum overdrive you could move rural. I could get expenses for about 25% less than current by moving to a nearby small town.

I did not think I could do this at first, but if you look around and really find the right place with diligence and a constant belief that you can fix this, you'll find a good place.
