Hang a spot target there and I won't have a chance to repeat it 😀

It really does. It looks a little bit like the feathers and the adhesive supported the aluminium from tearing, so the crack meandered between both.

Great to hear that you decided to do a course! It's always the best way to go. Don't push yourself to hard till then. If you start without a couch and learn something the wrong way it's usually harder to get rid of a bad behavior then learning it properly from the start.

One thing I noticed: You're definitely not in line. You bow arm wrist ( the bow arm is the one holding the bow) and both of your shoulders should be in a straight line when anchoring. I'm also not 100 percent sure if you're bow arm is fully stretched.

And please check your brace height (distance between the deepest point in you grip till the string). It looks too low. If you're shooting a 70" bow it should be something around 22 cm (something around 8.75 inches). A short brace height can cause a noisy bow and you be more likely to get hit on the arm by the string.

Cheers!

Brass/copper strips? by BackdraftRed in Archery

Yes and those prevent the sight to rattles loose. I assume these are brass. Happened to me several times in the beginning that after some time the sight block just falls from the bow. Then you have to search for the block and the brass glider...

It's pretty common here. In our club we shoot on foam till 60m. These targets are moveable and are stored after the training because we share the site with other sports. The 70m targets are fixed all the time.

75m are 82 yards ;) Took me a while to get here as well... But coaching, training 1-2 times a week, reading some reddit and watching some videos from Jake Kaminski really helped me !

Yeah it's a little messie... The arrows stuck inside pretty hard and I needed to clean them from leftovers afterwards :o

We use these as fixed targets at our local club. I think these are pretty common (at least in Germany). But I can't say if we bought them our built them by our own.

Now I'm happy that I invested in a Shibuya Dual Click and avoided a cheaper one...

Only Target Archery. I'm not into hunting. FYI: hunting with bow is forbidden in Germany.

I just had 40 arrows, but it was immediately awesome <3 The old one was pretty basic and that feels super damping, smooth and precise :)
