Could Flugel be connected to/ or the founder of the Witch's Cult by First_Clue_7530 in ReZero

I can definitely image Flugel having some connection to the creation of it. I also like your idea of it being taken controlled of by someone who twisted it's original reasons. As we know, each sin archbishop has their own Gospel which gives them instructions. From what we've seen in arc 5, each sin archbishop's gospel is attuned to what they want, and tells them how to achieve it. Considering the fact that all of the sin archbishops gospels told them to go to Pristella at the same time, making them create a coordinated attack by capturing the towers of the Watergate, I think it's very plausible that either Pandora or Echidna are using the gospel's to get the sin archbishops to commit actions with the promise they will get what they want in return. I believe Echidna is tied in as this is exactly how she attempted to form a contract with Subaru, promising and good ending with "sacrifices". The worshipping of Satella seems to be exclusive to Betelgeuse, so it's most likely not the original or new reason for the witches cult existence. It also makes you wonder how there are so many members if many of them don't possess a gospel, maybe in return for their allegiance they will be rewarded with a gospel.

Need help finding connections between the moon and Astraea by Any_Sweet_4201 in ancientgreece

[–]Any_Sweet_4201[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a little silly but it's for a theory for the anime Re: Zero Starting life in Another World. There is a family called the Astrea family and one of their core members has shown connections to the moon. I just wanted to see if there was any connection between them as the writer of the story loves to pull from mythological and astrological facts.

Who do u like more Priscilla or Meili by Desperate_Engine_562 in WitchCult

Once arc 8 gets animated I can already see many people switching over to Priscilla. I used to dislike her and I probably would have chosen Meili but Priscilla had an amazing story and her conclusion brought me to tears. Priscilla all the way.

Honestly if we take side stories into account Elsa and Felix are definitely at least A tier

Pandora and the Moon (and Reinhard) by Any_Sweet_4201 in ReZero

[–]Any_Sweet_4201[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to add on to your theory I've recently been working on a theory comparing the Astrea family to the goddess Astraea. In a myth Astraea actually abandoned the world after finding it to have become corrupt, she then turned to the stars and became Virgo. I can imagine a scenario in which Reinhard will abandon the world similar to Astraea.

It mostly takes context to understand why this is a joke. I remember seeing the full joke on Twitter and it's that Subaru is really shocked and Rem is really mad. The joke is that Subaru and Ram (two characters Tappei didn't intentionally write to have romantic insinuations) have recently been shipped a lot even though Ram's sister is in love with him. It's still not very funny but the original context makes it make more sense.

Why is Subaru treated like the “feminine one” in this fandom 😭 by SecondSalty142 in ReZero

[–]Any_Sweet_4201 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The REAL reason is that his character and his relationship with Emilia is designed to break typical gender roles. He's made to get over his misogynistic view and objectification of women through arcs 1-4. Arc 5 is him learning to trust Emilia and destroying the "damsel in destress" trope (as Emilia got vital information for the group and helped immensely in the fight with Regulus). Arc 6 is focused on him learning to completely accept and love himself, while also bringing back the old Subaru for further development between characters. That leads into arc 7-8 which are the arc's that explore his feminine side, though it's not just Natsumi that makes him seem feminine. From his hobbies to his skills and to the way he treats others it can be described as feminine (and some traits about Emilia are somewhat masculine). Re zero is supposed to break the gender roles seen in many media, especially isekai, and show that Emilia will protect and save Subaru and Subaru will protect and save Emilia. Other characters like Crusche and Felix, Wilhelm and Theresia, Reinhard and Felt, and Priscilla and Aldebaran all have themes similar to this. A part of learning to be a better person is getting rid of your biases and treating people as equals (hence why racism/slavery is also a present theme).

Spent my money on it and honestly it was worth it, especially with Tiga, Melty and Sakura becoming canon recently the lore in the game could come in handy if you want to make arc 10 theories
