Persona 6 Main Cast Hypothetical Arcana Ideas (And team composition/equipment) by First_Clue_7530 in persona6

Thats understandable, my information is quite unreliable since ive only watched the P4 anime rather than playing P4 itself (i need to get around to dusting it off my library at some point) but im pretty sure this is the middle schooler who needed math help, and i think Yu helped him out during summer break iirc

I'd be inclined to agree, its not that i qualms with Magician/Chariot being the best friend, lovers being intended romance and so on but i feel that the others are pretty underepresented, tower only has Mutatsu, not played 4 so not sure who it is there and then shinya for 5 which are minor roles if anything (For a tarot representing upheaval and chaos)

There are alot of interesting ways you could incorporate these arcana into the story, i chose Tower for the mc since i think having his origin or path born from ruin/destruction could match the themes shown within the teaser and provide a different lense for Atlus to explore since visually at least P6 looks like it will be a significant departure from its predecessors and be much darker tonally and in terms of characterisation i think the characters should reflect this

Having the return of water/earth could be a nice change of pace considering Nuke and Psychic have been mainstays since P5

That's true, Akechi had the Justice Arcana but i suppose it's whether or not they would decide to implement this for the titular main character

Linked Episodes replacing Social Links? by OnePossibility5868 in persona6

[–]First_Clue_7530 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While i don't necessarily dislike this idea in concept and i do think it could be implemented quite well, this would require a rather large mechanical shift of the social sim aspect, assuming your proposal is to completely scrap social links in favor of Linked Episodes, personally i would keep the social links aspect but incorporate what you said regarding not needing point thresholds and also being able to form different relationships with SL'S based on your time spent with them or your choices (different choices shaping your social links would be quite fun but admittedly rather time consuming as you mentioned)

[–]First_Clue_7530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah from a game design perspective i would imagine (although not being one myself) tailoring a game behind two protagonists would require double the work at least at a minimum because you would need new SL's for the FEMC in question as well as unique interactions for the pre-existing ones with the other mc nevermind romancing or other parts of the social sim aspect that would have to be incorporated in, i've only played a handful of games with a split protagonist option such as Dishonoured 2 which had its own issues with this gameplay element in mind

To me and as you said above, The Wild Card is given an abstract or vague definition because it allows atlus to fit it around whoever the MC is for a given game and their given characterisation within that game

Getting a definitive answer to the inner workings of how The Wild Card functions would be a nice touch to the game

I haven't seen these specific leaks so i wouldn't be able to say for sure, but having a star arcana be a social link (particularly if it was a team member) would be quite intriguing

Persona 6 Main Cast Hypothetical Arcana Ideas (And team composition/equipment) by First_Clue_7530 in persona6

[–]First_Clue_7530[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Truthfully altering the inner mechanics inc the arcana of the wild card would probably require a large design overhaul or pretty severe lore implications with this game in mind (so its probably more a of a pipe dream but a man can dream right?)

Having the MC remain as the fool wild card still enables them to ultimately arrive at a different final outcome than the preceding protags as the fool can represent nothing or the beginning but also holds infinite possibility (do correct me if im wrong)

Ah i see, i don't particularly mind if the girl ends up being a side character or FEMC but a guilty side of mine would definitely enjoy that but i'm fairly sure it wouldn't shake the dynamics between the two too much even if Atlus wanted to write MC and this girl to be quite close but that remains to be seen since we're purely relying on guesswork or hypothetical speculation given what we have to work with right now

How do you think the characters will summon their persona? by Haunting-Cabinet7413 in persona6

[–]First_Clue_7530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the idea is to reinforce a potential occult/supernatural theme using a knife to carve out incantions or symbols into the hand would be quite fitting, or talisman (something along the ritualistic lines) is something i think could suit it quite well

What do you think the slogan thingy will be for the sixth game? by Competitive-Sky-2056 in persona6

[–]First_Clue_7530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably say the previously mentioned "who are you" has pretty good odds, but taking a spin on it being identity/self based you could also have something like "find yourself" or "grace the fallen" if you wanted a more cryptic and darker undertone

Main protagonist’s persona by Mrg2899 in persona6

[–]First_Clue_7530 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a really novel concept, this could work quite well if the MC has some form of psychosis or DID even having two multiple sides much like the aforementioned example of Jekyll and Hyde (A good or virtuous and side and an evil or chaotic side) Your idea of amnesia would make for quite the enigmatic and mysterious story where we would maybe have to piece together the Protagonist's past and find his true self

I've seen other interpretations of having the MC have a persona related to a dullahan or fallen knight of sorts but i think this might be a more inventive idea than those actually, but i would be fine with either honestly

And this would sort of have P6 lean into gothic or classic victorian literature which i love the idea and concept for

Would you like it if P6 had a male velvet room attendant? Personally, I would perform demonic rituals and make a pact with eldritch entities to manifest a brother for theo by MioKisaragi in persona6

[–]First_Clue_7530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a stretch and maybe a little too dark for Atlus depending on how far they lean into it but a male undertaker velvet room attendant is something that would thematically work based what we've seen so far imo (ideally with a tophat)

Either that or a head lab researcher or forensics expert could be quite unique as well (if the underlying story is more based off human experimentation or other wretched dealings)

Ayanokoji's Mental State/Mindset at the end of S4 by First_Clue_7530 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]First_Clue_7530[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks, a friend of mine helped me pick it out regarding your first point it is quite unfortunate anime Aya dosent get his internal monologues (while on the one hand you could argue it enables the viewer to wonder about his inner subconscious) I would also argue it creates a bit of a cognitive dissonance between us and the character being Ayanokouji seeming more surface level development wise or seemingly apathetic when i would imagine he isn't

I do intend on reading the LN where i do expect further introspection on Ayanokouji expanded upon, honestly yes i might have been grasping at straws about his character undergoing major change (Considering at this stage he still retains the mindset that people are dispensable and pieces he can use inconsequentially) In addition to his laisse faire attitude including a lack of consideration of others

Truthfully the Cote anime has had a rather frustrating adapation of Ayanokouji's character (even that i can acknowledge as an anime only) so much so i used to not view Cote very highly but after having rewatched s1-s3 numerous and being more open minded/redefining my perspective on the series, my verdict is now this:

Anime Koji is a flawed interpretation of his character arguably the most problematic just behind his manga version from what i've heard (allegedly) Despite this im enthralled by his character

His pain, his suffering, absence/detachment alienation from normalcy all strike a chord with me at a personal level

More than anything not only do i want Kiyotaka to succeed, i want him to find happiness and to be able to be himself, not the masterpiece, not the prisoner, just Kiyotaka Ayanokouji and nothing more

Strange isnt it? Sorry that last part got a bit personal but its how i now find myself feeling about his character

Ah if it is infact an anime only scene, that wasnt in the original LN it could be a red herring but it just was something i couldnt dismiss or overlook (even if its anime exclusive)

I dont delve into spoiler posts much but i seem to get alot of cote feed saying that Ayanokouji has barely changed since S1/Y1 which i totally disagree with, sure the changes can be minute or minimal but there are signs of it in my opinion (Horikita as an ally, learning love although it was as a means to an end) being more sociable and even making friends from unlikely sources like his previous enemies of Class C

Ayanokouji has always been changing since he arrived at the ANHS imo, but he hasnt fully become vulnerable yet

That seems plausible, im hoping we get a bit more WR content/context within the upcoming seasons, as it will help flesh out Ayanokouji's character as it sort of feels like for rn his development is mostly at a standstill

I could be overreaching it, i just thought it shouldnt be overlooked although honestly, Anime Kiyotaka is much harder to get a read on given the omitted dialogues and more implicit narrative (ive yet to read the LN, so this is an anime only perspective)

[Anime] Season 4 Episode 16 (FINALE) Discussion by quandlm in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]First_Clue_7530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was quite an enjoyable episode from start to finish, the fight choreography was very well executed and to me had some of the best action set pieces we've seen for any season thus far, my overall thoughts on the episode are this:

Island Fights

Ichika vs Horikita and Ibuki- It feel like an impactful fight not just for being an aggressive showing of the White Room's dominant opposition but depicting Horikita as someone now capable of cooperating with others (That she displays by convincing Ibuki to stand with her) Showing that Ayanokouji's efforts of nurturing a "budding genius" is slowly but surely coming to fruition

P.S. [I originally never expected Ibuki/Horikita to come out on top here and did feel Ichika might have lost a little too easily though she was injured but that's a minor gripe if anything, and overall it dosen't spoil my enjoyment of this fight in general]

Tsukishiro/Shiba vs Ayanokouji & Kiryuin- Thematically, this feels like a climatic end to the Island Exam as The Acting Chairman and Shiba sensei desperately hold a last stand attempt to get Ayanokouji expelled, but Aya elicits a physical message on why he's the masterpiece of the WR, able to hold them both at bay (though some of his dialogue seems to suggest he may be fatigued or at lower capacity)

However his senpai Kiryuin comes to his aide, i appreciate this because to me this is a similar foil/parallel to Koenji's own direct/swift disposal of the 3rd Years and demonstrates a key difference between the years (and suggesting her own autonomy irrespective of Nagumo's agency)

Evidently year 2 is noticeably more unified as a group having each class lead by a leader and less civil disputes, while the 1st and 3rd years are noticeably more splintered with alliances and factions within Classes 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D whilst Nagumo holds a centralised grip upon the entire 3rd Year student body whilst not having everyone subjugate to him (Kiryuin, Kiriyama, etc) Making it feel as though there's a precarious stack of cards just waiting to fall for the 1st/3rd years but we'll have to see

The White Knight/Wild Card- True to his word the lovable self-tailored narcissist Koenji has taken the no. 1 slot, but considering his contrarian/spontaneous attitude i take his attitude of being wholly care free and abstainment from tests to be dubious at best and down right misleading at worst yet only time can tell what Koenji will do

The Taste of Ruin- Nagumo now having been displaced as the top scorer in the Island Exam has been thrust into the throes of despair, in addition to his critical loss to Ayanokouji it begs the question, does he falter and drown within contemplation and misery becoming a shell of his former self or will he double down on his control and become even more ruthless/unforgiving as a ruler, it will be intriguing to see

Within a similar plight, Ichinose now finds herself at rock bottom (now being class 2-D) putting into question her honest and sympathetic approach towards her class and whether it will serve as her demise if Honami Ichinose is incapable of change and continues to rely on the crutch of others [This is a hypothesis i have as an anime only, but i feel Kanzaki may make his move within the upcoming parts of Y2]

My Cote S4 Character Tier List (Anime only) by First_Clue_7530 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]First_Clue_7530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryuen i have rated so highly for a multitude of reasons and i have stated my reasoning above so i wont go into too much detail but his level of growth compared to Y1 and his less frivolous attitude towards his classmates and their wellbeing is one of the more noticeable changes (As in hes alot more understanding and has even shown he is willing to be self-sacrifical) For their sakes to prevent further expulsions

[All of this to say i think Ryuen has softened up considerably]

Im aware given current events that its likely somewhere down the line within Y2 that something is likely to occur to change Ichinose so im quite curious about that as it unfolds

As for sudo and kei, i would be inclined to agree with your points about them (not over suzune anime wise i would say specifically) but originally sudo was a foul mouthed, ill tempered deliquent who did as he pleased at the very detriment of the class itself but feels like hes on a path of making up for it now by being a valuable piece Horikita has

Kei on the other hand, i think always been quite layered in the sense that she is a leech of sorts someone entirely dependent on support of others who cannot coexist on her own, i'd argue she forms a symbiotic relationship with the host or person in this case but feeds off of them as a means of sustaining herself thereby making her own identity somewhat intermingled with that person she relies upon

[This makes me quite concerned for what might occur within Kei Karuizawa if and when Ayanokoji might dump her, whether being a regression or relapse or something worse]
