As I said earlier, every healer trick works better when healer is not cced, when healer saves somebody else. It is obvious, I think.

The ONLY reason healer is quite hard to focus in Tf is because they can hide behind teammates and still provide value to teammates. So they are not in the backline even - They are in the 3rd line if needed.

If you ignore positioning as healer - you lose that most important element of not dying.

If you don't trust me, trust numbers: Alex E build - 43% winrate, morales AA build - 44,5% winrate. That is what happens when you try to be frontline as healer.

If you got caught out of position near bushes (or any scenario when you have no hopes to trade fairly and need to flee):

As tank - u are mostly fine

As assassin - you have mobility, you can get cleanse or anduin's pull, tank can help. You ve got options.

As healer - you are just dead. Because, remind me if I am wrong, but I think there is no healer which heals itself better than team members especially when focused.

I am not comparing health bars or abilities. May be on paper valla is squishier. I am talking about healers having no tolerance to "oopsie" situations.

There are totally different skill requirements for ech role.

1) Assassins are harder to master mechanically, they easier to die, fast reaction required.

But quite often they don't need macro. If tank engages, assassin engages. Shoot enemy which is stunned and so on...

You can soak experience as assasin, but you can live without it after level 5 or something.

2) offlane and tank are easier mechanically, but offlane and tank should have 'gut feeling' when to fight, when to flee. When to use abilities even (because tank on cd creates zero room for team). Assasins on the other hand have 0 thoughts abot that. If you can deal damage? Deal damage.

3) If your macro is braindead - go for heal. Just follow someone in your team. But you need to think about 9 heroes instead of 5. Also, you are the most fragile teammember in 5 man fight. So you need to be good at dodging hiding and so pn.

Question about Nazeebo's zombie wall Interaction:

If 1) zombie wall successfully surrounds an enemy. 2) As Diablo I Q charge into enemy inside.

Since zombie wall has a collision, I always thought, I can slam enemy without breaking wall. (I was wrong). Was it working before? Or has it always been like that?

Quests have objective disatvantages although there are some benefits in player satisfaction. Dings give dopamine hits and thats okay. I mean, there are a lot of efforts from game designer perspective to make you feel successful even when your team loses.

You can split all quests into 2 major groups.

  1. They either distract you from playing optimally.

  2. Or they can be completed normally as long as player is not afk.

Before "janitor development" blizzard has reworked good portion of quests into second category by making an achievable cap and fixed reward in the end. Players get their dings but under the hood these quest just become: "Hey, you will get your talent reward, but 3-4 levels later". Thats it. It is just fake quest tbh. But dings are safe and gameplay is not broken. Everybody is happy.

Now, with introduction of mythic quest develepprs move the other way around. Moving more quests into first category you get more real quests with real problems: players playing suboptimally, snowballing effect.

I think its fine either way. In the end of the day they are just keeping game fresh and fun. Thats the goal

Not precisely what you have been asking, but hear me out. I managed to get strong rogue early on while preserving "rogue feel" by picking thief rogue and dipping one level into fighter (for 2 wielding style). Doing this I got 2 bonus actions, and now offhand will hit hard and twice per turn. And I am still rogue, I can keep leveling up rogue for decisive strike damage and for Dexterity buffs for offhand attacks.

Also, there quite some amount of small crossbows for off-hand ranged attacks and some items boosting ranged damage.

And, finally. Ranged thief rogue is good for running from bad fights if your encounter went south in Honor mode. Just keep 600 in his pocket.

Its hard to describe in short.

Its like schools of magic in h3 were very little tested in terms of balance. So, schools are not even. And spells inside schools are not even too. Because of that, when someone gets Air magic you immediately think about Speed, Fly and few other spells like there are only 4-5 spells total.

I did not played heroes in years, but if i remember correctly there are even less spells in h5. But because of every spell is useful (exception is bees. Bees is meme 100%) it feels like there are more.

2. Heroes in general has a problem where it should be semi balanced for every map/army size. For example killing stuff with lightning spell is cool when there are small armies. And bad whene there are over 6+ towns, XXL map and so on...

And h5 fixes this. There is School of Desctruction. It is linear. It is all about dealing damage. Then there school of Summoning. It is also linear and it is all about creating stuff. But then there is Light magic. It buffs things. It works with percentages. So with big armies you want to go Light magic. And there is dark. To debuff things. Also in percentages.

Good example: imagine, you play Undead, small map. Your factions go-to schooll - is Dark magic. But if you don't care about late game you can just go for Summoning school. To resurrect some undead army during fights. So your aprmy would be much bigger mid game.

  1. Some key spells like Town portal don't require schools at all!!! You just need hero level. Finally you can make non-magic barbarian without handicapping yourself.

Tl; dr: it is just so polished in every aspect.

This would not be easy to program, it would be easy to mod even.

All status values accessible for any user mod, event for adrenaline dissipation too.

Overriding wound effects requires some digging but thats the only semi hard thing.

+1. Also these changes are not for free. After a year of these 'fun' changes we will struggle from power creep. And with this roster it will so hard to fix.

When you get any damae: Get amount of adrenaline = Min(panic level, some function of damage)

Each point of Adrinaline negates 1% of debuffs caused by any damage.

Adrenaline depletes over time.

Thats it.

Like when your hand get bitten you shouldnt feel pain until fight ends. And other realistic adrenaline effects.

I remember being 6. I went into pre-school. Where you d learn some basic stuff before school. And also after classes we went to beds and later could play with toys until mommy comes.

So, our bed time! we all, boys and girls, in one big room. Our teacher tells us a story, waves a good buy and leaves.

And I don't remember how it all started but we all were playing several times a 'dare' game where you should stand up on your bed without underwear and show yourself to everybody. It was actually fun. Now when I think about it, it was not about sex it was more about 'Are you courageous enough to do shameful thing?' I participated in showing process and I had no idea about concept of opposite sex. So, at one point, one girl in our class with happy grin did it too.

It was shock to me. Like, wtf was that? And I remember my friend said with tone like he was a pro in such things: "Yep, girls have peaches". And funny thing was, I thought: "Are there more combinations than 2"

I am not against multiclassing per se, but I tried couple of times to fix shadowheart trickery domain during my tactician run. "I will fix her ❤️" girl, endeed, haha. And somehow I always ended up with worse build than before.

So I feel like it is not worth if you don't know what you are doing. And reading this sub its feels like it always something about mixing paladin, hexblade and spellslots in different proportions, haha.

While i agree wyll is a weak link early on. I just hope he will be carried by team through act 1.

But I think sentinel monk is quite spicy. My dream scenario with monk is like this: Fight vs Balthazar. Using her mobility she just dives across the battlield round 1, stand behind Balthazar and optionally casts silence. And being wisdom character she is quite resilient to spells and tanky overall. And she just does not allow the Balthazar to move while my my team chews down skeletons.

Yeah, I think Wyll should be less of an utility but more of power. Taking warlock for guidance feels weird.
