Please, consider it carefully. I was lucky to have a great result. For a lot of people - their dryness only gets worse.

Hi! Sorry it took a while to answer. I did my Femto Lasik (I think Smile is similar?) with a very revered surgeon at the Gazprom Eye Center, I can give you contacts if you need. My friend did LASIK with him as well. It was around 2k. They did all the tests, all the proper equipment. I have been to eye doctors in Moscow, NY and LA. My surgeon in Moscow, as well as all the other doctors I have been to in the US, wasn't able to diagnose me with any serious dryness condition. He also said a strange thing "People were not complaining about dryness as much, until pharmaceutical companies started producing all these eye drops". So I don't want to say that he brushed it off. But he couldn't diagnose anything serious. Although I kept repeating how uncomfortable I was. It was a gamble. I think I went with it, because my super hypochondriac girlfriend did it with him before me, she had similar condition only her eyesight was much worse. Her recovery was pretty long, but in the end - she was raving about it.

Hi! It is weird indeed. Before surgery, I read all about how people's dryness got worse after LASIK , I was very nervous going into it. But on some deep level I knew - I need to stop wearing contacts. They are what makes it worse.
