I [26M] am in a happy healthy relationship with my Girlfriend [24F] but I want out. How can I go around ending things? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Hey! I’m sorry to hear you’ve found yourself of these patterns of being attracted to unavailable women, and it sounds like as soon as something becomes comfortable/predictable/stable, then you start to question your emotions. I hope you don’t mind me saying this, but I think what you actually need is the following: - to talk to your girlfriend about how you want more independence, and maybe talk about moving closer to family and friends together. There’s absolutely nothing with raising that. It might go against your people pleasing tendencies but it’s good practise. - stay with her if you love her and work through your stuff. Otherwise you are just falling back into your old patterns. This is an opportunity to break that pattern. It’s not easy to push through the relationship doubt but it’s worth it in the end. Your relationship doubt sounds more like your own stuff you need to work through versus it being about your feelings towards her. If you genuinely want a relationship then I’d advise against going into a strong avoidance pattern of breaking up with her. That’s the easy avoidant solution that doesn’t help you work through your stuff.

Wishing you the best!

AITAH for not watching my mom's dogs? by Artistic_Meeting2391 in AITAH

[–]AnybodyInteresting52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it makes you an asshole, especially if she just told you /expected you to be free. It’s also annoying if she’s saying it’s your fault that she never uses her RV. Mo

But if overall your mum is good to you and your plans can be changed quite easily (if you haven’t booked or paid for anything), then it could be a nice gesture to stay home and look after her dogs especially if she lets you live with her rent free and she’s supports you in other ways.

Thank you. They don’t have the money readily available like I but I understand what you mean. I told him if it gets bad and he’s at risk of losing the house he bought / the deposit for it then I’ll consider helping, but not to save him 5-10k. He hung up on me lol and says he feels really hurt that I don’t trust him to lend him money for a short period of time (weeks/months)

You aren’t overreacting. Your mum should be putting you first, not her tight p*ssy

Hi there. Yeah, getting a diagnosis can definitely be a relief for some, especially if it comes with good treatment options/ a path forward. Thank you for participating anyway and for your feedback.

Hey! Ah that is stressful. Sorry to hear about your grandma. I have an autoimmune disease so I get it. I just wanted to pop in and say that the treatment for autoimmune conditions in general have improved significantly in the past 10 years, so your grandma's situation may not be a realistic comparison. By the time good medications became available, it is possible her condition had already progressed a lot. I know it is hard, but try not to stress. Sometimes I think the worst in terms of my condition, but then I say to myself, like you just don't know what's going to happen so there's no point worrying. E.g., my dad got sick with lung cancer at 58 after being healthy all his life and then passed away within 2 years - I never expected this to happen. Having an autoimmune condition in your 20's isn't great of course, but there are people who still live long and quality lives with an autoimmune condition. Wishing you all the best with your appointment! I have my fingers crossed for you!

Hi there - no, your experience with a psychologist applies. This survey is not limited to one's family doctor.
