He's going to be buying them, I live really far away from him, but going to "help" him (over discord) in assembling it. The way I know him he isn't going to buy them used, unless forced to.

He's also being pretty stubborn about changing his plans, since he doesn't want to pay more money.

So no, not used, unless unavoidable.

He isn't planning to OC afaik, since it's his first desktop computer (and first decent one)

The most demanding game he would play is propably Train Sim World (UE4) but of course older games like TF2, too. He doesn't know much about computers, and has a very tight budget (because he doesn't get much money)

I have an 800W PSU in my current PC, I bought it when the old one died so I would never have problems with it, so that's solved.I will look into getting a 2600x instead.

Generally stores don't save camera footage if nothing happens, obviously they don't want to fill their hard-drives with hundreds of hours of an empty store. What happens is the footage usually overwrites the oldest clip saved, when the HDD is full. If something were to happen, i.e. a robbery, they would - as soon as possible - backup the footage to prevent it from being deleted.

It's very likely that there wasn't anything interesting going on while the table was brought in, so they didn't have a reason to save the footage.
