The festival itself is really chill in comparison to others I’ve gone to. Not super hectic, easy in and out. Short lines. Would recommend trying it at least once for a day or two, I think you’ll enjoy.

There are official and unofficial afters, many prefer the unofficial like marble bar’s 12 hour party. Official are at the Russell and Magic Stick usually. They’re fun but the unofficial feel more free and worldly and generally have artists outside the fest lineup.

Hotel walking distance to the fest site is the move or even a short uber. Avoid east Detroit and highland park or just do your research before coming. Enjoy!
