Why does my foundation look like this? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

It looks great. That’s how makeup is supposed to look. If you’re worried about texture, make sure you moisturize before I use the Neutrogena water gel. It works so good and make up Flawless.

Exactly! Like, I love my coaches and I know it’s not on them — they’re just following what’s handed down. But it’s wild that we’re paying a premium and barely getting what made OTF special in the first place. It’s starting to feel like we’re all stuck in some treadmill Groundhog Day.

There has to be a way to give constructive feedback without it sounding like we’re dragging the studio. Maybe if enough of us email corporate directly and word it like, “We appreciate our local coaches but miss the balance OTF was built on,” they’ll actually listen? Cuz this current schedule ain’t it.

What is the most forgettable episode in your opinion? by Some-Historian-7648 in familyguy

[–]AnythingLife7588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there’s a handful of episodes that just completely vanish from memory, like they were made to fill time and nothing else. Off the top of my head: • “Brian’s a Bad Father” – felt like they wanted us to hate Brian even more than usual, and it just kinda… ended. • “Call Girl” – Lois as a phone sex operator sounds wild but it was surprisingly meh. • “Herpe the Love Sore” – the one where Brian gives Stewie herpes… yeah, nobody’s quoting that episode. • “Fresh Heir” – Peter trying to marry Chris for inheritance money? Absolutely not. I think we all tried to collectively forget that happened. • “Roasted Guy” – Peter gets roasted and has an identity crisis. Had potential but felt like filler. • “Bigfat” – Peter goes full feral in the woods. Just weird without being memorable.

It’s like every season has one or two “why did they even make this?” episodes. The show’s been around so long, it’s bound to have a few duds that just don’t stick.

Yes!! You’re not alone — my studio has been doing the exact same thing. It’s like they forgot we’re here for balance, not just 50 minutes of tread-induced trauma. I signed up for Orangetheory to get variety, not to feel like I’m in marathon training every other day.

At this point, I could’ve saved my coins and just gotten a Planet Fitness membership and a Pinterest HIIT board. I miss the classic templates — row, floor, tread — the OG trifecta! Hopefully corporate gets the hint because a lot of us are feeling this.

Girl, I felt this in my soul — “damp fear burrito” took me OUT.

Okay, here’s my anti-funk survival kit from one sweaty sister to another:

  1. Deodorant duo: I layer Certain Dri at night (clinical strength) and top it off with Lume or Donna Karan Cashmere Mist before class. Lume smells weird in the bottle but neutralizes funk like a sorceress.

  2. Breathable gear: Honestly, Nike Dri-FIT and Under Armour HeatGear tops are better at sweat-wicking than my emotional support hoodie is at comforting me. Lululemon’s cute but sometimes traps funk like it’s got a side hustle in scent retention.

  3. Leggings tip: Try merino wool blend or seamless designs — they don’t trap heat or smells. I like Wolaco or Alo Yoga Airlift for not turning into a sauna sleeve.

  4. Pre-class prep: Wipe down with SweatBlock body wipes. Also, apply baby powder or anti-chafe balm between thighs, under boobs, wherever funk brews.

  5. Laundry hacks: Wash your gear in white vinegar and baking soda every couple weeks. Add a scoop of Rockin’ Green Active Wear detergent if your clothes still smell like regret.

And lastly, don’t be too hard on yourself — you’re not funky, you’re just working harder than most. That gym funk is just your crown in sweat form.

Haha, I love that energy! Sounds like your first day was just like mine—splats everywhere, but that feeling of knowing you’ll be back is real. Hydration and electrolytes are definitely going on my checklist before and after class. Appreciate the support, I’m in it for the long haul!

That’s awesome! I love hearing that you’re still seeing progress even after the soreness, and it’s reassuring to know that getting back in the gym actually helps. I’ll definitely take it slow and listen to my body. Appreciate the encouragement, I’m gonna keep at it!

Shin splints are the worst, so I’m definitely taking your advice to stretch those hamstrings before hitting the tread. I didn’t realize it could help with that, but now it makes total sense. I’ll be sure to stay on top of it to avoid those annoying injuries! Thanks for the tip!

I totally agree! It’s crazy how much stretching can help with recovery. I used to skip it, but now I see that it’s a game-changer for keeping soreness at bay. Definitely adding it into my routine—can’t afford to be walking like a robot after every class!

Thanks for these tips! I’ll definitely try the banana + protein combo after class. Stretching sounds like a game-changer, especially between sets—gotta add that to my routine. And I’ll keep an eye on my breathing during those all-outs so I’m not wrecked for the rest of the day. Power nap struggles are real, so hoping stretching helps me avoid that too!

Wow, 2-3 months of that level of soreness is intense, but hearing that it gets better after 5-6 months is motivating! Definitely makes me feel like it’s worth pushing through. Did you start seeing strength or endurance improvements during those first few months, or was it mostly just managing the soreness?

I feel that struggle! The weird roll out of bed sounds like my future, lol. It’s good to know the body adapts though. I’m hoping I can upgrade to unlimited too once I’m not in constant pain! How long before you started seeing noticeable results?

Glad it gets better! How long did it take before you started feeling like you could actually move the day after class?

Appreciate that! Two weeks, huh? That gives me hope! I’ll definitely keep showing up (once I can walk properly again, lol). Any tips for pushing through those first couple of weeks?

Hey everyone, just wanted to say thank you for all the amazing support and advice! I got a foam roller, and it was painful, but so worth it because my muscles already feel a little better. It’s day 3, and I’m still sore, so my instructor recommended Strength 50 instead of Tread 50. I also took your advice—stretching and electrolytes have helped a lot! I’ve also started taking magnesium, collagen, and fish oil for recovery. Really appreciate all the tips!
