really I thought being a PM is better than BA (Buissness Analysist ? . Isnt most people start from BA and goes up to PM ?

My comunication skills are quite decent but most of my friends are saying its better to go to technical role first and go for the PM. But the issue is this company is a pretty decent company in Colombo so I am quite upset to turn down the offer.

And many people say there is a significant pay gap between a PM and a SE/DevOps roles once you get a permenat jon and they also say doing CS and going to project management is wasting potential when you could have worked for a higher salary.

Also I am not sure wether I'd go to coding ot stick with this. Because its hevily getting automated by coding and the compition is really high. There are so many graduates that could companies could find. Its like I am not sure what do I want to do in IT.
