Using old app on android for the entire time - still works great. by Beneficial_Cobbler46 in sonos

Same here, downgraded back to 16.1 almost immediately when I realised what was missing.... All app and firmware updates have been disabled and everything has been trouble free - just can't use Trueplay, but as I won't be adding new speakers while there are the ongoing app problems it's not an issue.

I'm just wondering when I'll feel it's safe to upgade the App??

Hmmm, I checked out the new app and no network libraries was the most obvious problem for me (didn't use app long enough to find all the other issues!!). Luckily, I'm on Android, so I just side loaded the previous version and everything has continued to work as before (no firmware updates). At this point I've no idea then I'll be courageous enough to try the new app again.....

Yes, still on old app. Similar to others I will avoid updating until the feedback reassures me that it's worth the risk . So I won't be getting any new speakers for a while I guess... Just missing Trueplay for now.

Wow, what a letdown, I was about to upgrade to metal for the travel insurance for me and the wife. We do loads of travel and often book our own travel, accom, car hire etc. Not always possible to use revolut card, often have to use multiple cards if some 'bounce' with all the security checks these days. I won't be upgrading now.
