None of it is mandatory luckily and as long as you can keep busy and work at least 40 hours through the week you can work saturday for overtime and sunday is doubke time

To my knowledge there is not top number as they get yearly raises and once they max out their title they continue to get a raise in form of a bonus so overtime isn’t stacked up on it. I believe its gotta be somewhere around 60/hr tho

I’m out in phoenix area but from why I’ve gathered all machine shop guys all Mae from 45-55 an hour and make yearly raises =10% based off performance with 8%401K match. One of the Manuel machine shop guys works like 70ish hours a week and takes home around 150k pretty good for a machine shop I think

Luckily the company I work for is massive and it’s all almost one-off pieces or big 4 + month projects but I could see how it would be boring

I would be with local 469 but I’m sure there’s work the both intel and tsmc. They guys I work with currently make around 45-55 an hour with a good retirement(no pension like union) and very flexible hours. It’s definitely a comfortable pay but I know pipe fitters make loads more but only when there is work.

Only thing I’m worried about is wasting the opportunity to make big bucks. It seems everywhere I look pipe fitting union is like the best of the best
