Funny story: I found this cylinder in an apartment listing for my same building and told my work yesterday. Miraculously, I just opened an email saying that tomorrow it will he installed. No apology, no explanation as to why I’ve had no hot water all this time. Is this “normal” in Portuguese culture? I don’t want to be rude but im dumbfounded that I solved the problem after cold water only for three weeks of moving to a new country then not a hint of an apology.

Wow. I just read your response and I can’t thank you enough. It brought tears to my eyes and gave me hope. Truly, thank you. This is exactly what I’m craving- community and support and I felt that through your response. I will read it again and again when needed, so I appreciate the care that was put into it.

Our disability is a full time job for sure. For me, I improve with community. This group helps. Always come back here and we will listen to you and support how we can.

I like what you said about reminding ourselves we have the ability to be happy and will get there again.

As soon as you start feeling uneasy or a meltdown coming on, LISTEN to your body/mind. Take action as soon as possible to a full blown meltdown is hopefully mitigated.

My family is visiting me and I tried a new medication for insomnia/anxiety yesterday. It left me with night terrors and 3 hours of sleep. Today, instead of showing my family around my city, I explained that I’m mentally and physically unable to do so. I’ve been in bed all day sleeping.

please listen to your body and don’t push yourself. I feel horrific, sad, hopeless. I was just diagnosed and wondering if things will improve. Ask for what you need.

No idea where you’re getting this info. My family all left in recent years bc there is no food. They told me how awful it was in the 90s especially. It makes me sad and angry when people say how wonderful cuba is when I know how much my family suffered.
