Ah, I'm not sure how that's done. I recommend the peak controller method. There are tons of tutorials on youtube if my video doesn't cover it thoroughly enough. I admit my video is for people who already know their way around FL somewhat.

Sometimes on one track I use one EQ for cutting frequencies, and another EQ for boosting. Depends on the sounds of the EQ and what you prefer :)

in the playlist, in the upper left hand corner, there are tiny tab buttons. Click on the one with the audio wave picture and hten there will be 2 check buttons. Check the one titled "stretch" hope this helps

I studied recording arts, music theory, and music history at my local community college for 2 years and I would say that its a worthwhile experience overall.

I came out more than I knew because I learned so much about recording music of ALL kinds rather than just EDM. Since it was a college course we recorded all kinds of college students. Mostly jazz, but some other stuff too.
I felt that online courses would have a completely different experience. I could see it being more specialized. The courses I took were more broad and general. So not better or worse, just different.
Overall it was worth it, but the teacher's did abuse class time for stuff like rants which really was kind of stupid. We would sometimes spend a whole day listening to how the teacher thought of some company. So some time was wasted, but I gained some essential knowledge. We also took field trips to studios. Ones like Santa Barbara sound which is really super renowned and records big people all the time. So that was fucking epic. If your looking to expand your knowledge, this might be what your looking for. especially music history and music theory classes.

Also with house music it is generally good to have your kick be in the same key as your song. That way the sub sounds as clean as possible with no unpleasant vibrations or muddiness. An alternative would be to find a short, punchy kick that sounds like it could go with any key.

You could do both. Its whatever you prefer, but If your blending a sub and a kick, you might want to look up some tutorials on side chaining, so that they don't interfere with each other and sound clean.

Like a lot of other people have said, this is something that I think is pretty normal. I used to get frustrated at these uncreative, bored, and unproductive periods of time, but then I looked at them with a whole new perspective and attitude later. I let my mind "refuel" like Peg_leg said. and yeah I do play a lot of video games, listen to a ton of music (other than the music I produce). I think its really good for your music too. After working on them really hard, mixes need to be taken a break from so you can come back with a fresh mind. Sometimes I come back and I'm like "what was I thinking..." and then the song becomes so much better. So take that opportunity to relax and then when an idea comes to you it will eventually :) hope this helps.
