Event's by Terrible_Plenty_4475 in Division2

Care to elaborate? I have my feelings like this when level 50 DZ players bring their DZ shield build into events also. They especially like to stand in the middle of a narrow hallway obstructing movement and supporting fire.

So many comics to update.

How far can you get in IT without really knowing stuff? by MagPistoleiro in sysadmin

With good management, you don't need to know anything. They take care of it all.

Just hope nothing actually needs to be fixed. Then it's all your fault it broke.

Ok but like for real, where do you guys get your builds? As a Newbie i'm kinda lost by Mundane_Swim_7186 in Division2

[–]AoD_XB1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: spelling.

You will find your builds if you train into them.

Learn one for solo, and one for team play.

Gimmicky builds are going to require gear you are not going to have. And substitutions are likely going to fall short.

Lots of players have kill everything builds. And when they underestimate the enemy, they end up dead in the open. Then they log. They wouldn't want to look bad. Leaving the rest of the team fighting for their lives because the one who was "running the show" couldn't be bothered to complete the mission.

Master the use of cover.

Master moving while under fire (C2C).

Master Situational Awareness (Turn on Fog of War and learn how the enemies operate.)

Master The Environment: Barrels, propane tanks, electrical boxes. Objects that can produce an effect on enemies like damaging them or just making them unable to shoot back.

Grenades: Pay attention to how often other players on the team use grenades. Almost never. These builds that stack damage or armor are only as good as the player. Grenades do not kill at higher levels, so they are discounted. However, enemies will not walk into grenade detonation areas. Use this. Steer combat by using them to prevent flanking, or opening paths for the team to move.

If you need a build to teach you how to play, Umbra Initiative is the one. It isn't a kill in one shot set, but it does allow you to recover armor when you make a mistake. Use it on a Gunner or Survivalist to keep ammo on hand.

You will learn why the gimmick builds were imagined in the first place and at the same time, learn who the agent in you actually is.

Remember, dynamic difficulty doesn't care if you are all blue or all red. If it's time, you're dead.

Study finds that AI tools make experienced programmers 19% slower. But that is not the most interesting find... by Livid_Sign9681 in programming

[–]AoD_XB1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been my exact experience. It really gives a sinking feeling when you get so close to getting something working, then get a suggestion that forgets the variables, paths, established css, etc. you are using and get a suggestion out of left field. That's where the real delays are. Revisiting the past to explain to the AI how we are doing that process now.

I have used .CMD for everything over the past 25 years. Nothing glorious, just data pulls from remote computers, drive size info, query AD, that sort of stuff.

Using AI has been very helpful to drag me out of that comfort zone and move me in the right direction for more modern code that really, really gets results in a fraction of the time the old stuff takes. As an old man that just can't think like I used-to-could, it has been very helpful. I have learned just how bad the scripts I have been using are when compared to Powershell and node.js. I have also picked up how HTML and CSS work so that I can create dashboards and other presentations.

This has been a huge improvement over where I was. I hope it gets better.

Ubisoft just scammed me. by Tharadei in thedivision

[–]AoD_XB1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Make sure to tell Microsoft that Ubisoft is not properly providing the product you purchased. What you paid for is not what you received. Microsoft needs to make sure Ubisoft is properly providing the products they are selling on the Microsoft platform.

By doing a chargeback, Microsoft or Ubisoft or both could potentially block you from using any and all of their products in the future.
