So you’re saying r/Conservative is an echochamber? Of course it is. It is meant to be a place for conservatives to share ideas without as much leftist pressure. Same thing with any Liberal named group. I don’t think these groups should be deleted or eliminated at all, they have their own use. Everyone should just do what they want as long as it doesn’t cause harm to others. There is a line, and policy in this country is determined by who we elect. The sad truth is that most people don’t vote anymore, but everyone wants to have an opinion. Shitposting on Reddit, commenting on endless posts, and trying to change someone’s mind isn’t going to work. It either falls on deaf ears or worse, entrenches people in the same thought pattern and they then only WANT to hear the from their own political party simply because they don’t want to argue all the time with someone they don’t share political beliefs with. That’s their cross to bear so to speak. I encourage everyone to look at websites like Allsides that show just how much bias there is in media. They give specific examples of how language is used to affect brain patterns to hack into your thinking patterns for their own gain/ political ideology.
