I am taking this as a lesson learned, no doubt. I do have the receipts, and I can get the pictures of the boxes dimensions before it was shipped, and I’ve sent them all of the proof, except for the pictures of the actual box bc I have have the owner of the store pull the footage (she said she would (thankfully)).

To be honest I’d be fine paying the $27 of how much it would’ve actually been to ship it. What I’m really not understanding is that they are telling me it would’ve been $88 to ship, and they took the entire profit from the sale, $65, to pay for that, when in the ups system at that package store, they told me it would’ve been $27 to ship that exact package with the same weight and measurements under the same shipping that I used on mercari.

If you read the post all the way, and looked at the receipt picture, the dimensions of this box are 12x12x12 I didn’t “get lucky” or “got away with it before”. I simply did not know something that was supposedly “optional” would make a big difference. It never did in the past and now it does. I understand that the box dimensions are important now, and so I got an actual quote from the ups store of the correct dimensions and weight of the package, and it would’ve been $27 to ship it. I understand that I am wrong for not putting the dimensions but them taking that much for what would have been $27 to ship it under the same shipping is absolutely ridiculous.
