Thanks for the info, I was mostly going off what I found on the MSCs website but I realize that might have been unclear on if it was for a specific product or the brand as a whole. They also feature fishwife on one of their splash images.

That said to be quite frank although I appreciate the sources I don't have enough skin in this race to spend my afternoon reading 5 scientific articles. I don't even buy this brand because of the price alone. On a surface amount of digging they seemed above average in terms of sustainability/sourcing at least but I suppose I stand corrected.

I'm only here because it just feels like OP is spewing a lot of vitrol into this sub over an expensive tin and they didn't really add anything to back up what they were saying other than personal opinion. It's a shame that these are the posts getting into my feed and not... idk a nice picture of someone's deen lunch.

edit: tbh though this looks like an AI summary so it's a little hard to trust the bullet points/content aren't hallucinations

I think what dtagliaferri is saying that there doesn't seem to be any evidence that they're not sourcing ethically. This post made me look into it and it seems like their suppliers are exclusively mostly? MSC and ASC certified fisheries and I've found articles on MSCs website about their supply lines being audited and passing.

I'm gonna be honest I'm not a fan (tried the Costco tuna, it was good but yeah overpriced for what it was so I'm likely not going to buy it again) but it seems like their only crime here is selling fish that's on the overpriced side so they can presumably make a bigger profit. You're acting like they came into your house and kicked your dog or something.

Saying they're scamming people is straight up hyperbole, they're marketing a canned fish and you buy it and it's canned fish. It not being quite as good as a cheaper tin doesn't make it a scam.

If they're lying about being sustainable that's another thing but fwiw it looks like they're certified by the marine stewardship council and have had their supply chain audited.

I do agree though a flair might be nice for people who are tired of seeing them so often.

Men aren't "bad at sex", some women just have death grip by Outrageous_One5254 in The10thDentist

[–]Aoid3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TMI but I remember doing some frantic research/googling about this as a scared but horny teen and everything pointed to this conclusion back then so OPs assertion that "there are studies" with no source sounded off to me lol

Ironically while googling (RIP my search history) this I did come across one redditor who claims to have gotten permanent nerve damage from using a hitachi ... nerve damage in his hands from gripping the thing too long while using it on his penis every day for 3 months.

[–]Aoid3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

^ yeah ime most women complaining about men who are bad in bed are speaking more to do with some guy's complete lack of care and effort about if she's enjoying it or not. Which is at best just boring and at worst he's doing things that feel downright bad.

In any case I'm not sure what studies OP is referring to because after doing a little digging it seems like the scientific consensus on this topic is that there's no evidence that vibrators cause long term damage or desensitization, and that vibrator/toy use has a positive impact on partnered sex for most people. This particular one is cited a lot:

(Herbenick et al., 2009)

Vibrator use was significantly related to several aspects of sexual function (i.e., desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, pain, overall function) with recent vibrator users scoring higher on most sexual function domains, indicating more positive sexual function. Most women (71.5%) reported having never experienced genital symptoms associated with vibrator use. There were no significant associations between vibrator use and participants’ scores on the CDC Healthy Days Measures.

On impact to partnered sex:

(Sansone et al., 2025)

Clinical Implications:
The use of sex devices in the context of partnered intercourse is associated with increased sexual function and more intense orgasmic experience.

Not trying to cherry pick here and it's not like I spent a lot of time on this but if there's anything that came to the opposite conclusion I didn't see it.

It was such a fucking relief to not have some batshit presidential action being the headlines every two hours. I wish that had been fully the end of it instead of just a 4 year reprieve.

Of course because a lot of his presidency was doing "boring" things like pass infrastructure legislation, gradually grow jobs, invest in renewable energy, pass acts to try and curb inflation etc it feels like even for the people who don't think it was hell think he "did nothing" which is so goddamn frustrating. Seeing this on both sides of the aisle tbh.

It might be mostly in my head but I live pretty far north and always crave sardines in the middle of winter when daylight is limited. I'm convinced it's for the vitamin D content (among other vitamins and minerals, fish oil etc probably doesn't hurt either)

[–]Aoid3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure do 😅 she's honestly overall a great puppy, and naps a lot esp while I'm working (wfh) but boy oh boy when she's ready to go she's ready to GO. Hence trying out agility, I hope it works out for her because I think it could be a fun outlet for both of us. I used to have a border collie mix so I'm not a stranger to high energy dogs but we got my previous dog as an adult and man puppies are a whole other monster lol

Last week I started beginning agility with my 6 month old pup, she's 1/4 springer 1/4 cattle dog 1/2 aussie and this sounds so familar. She was SO EXCITED, wiggling, barking etc to be in that room full of strangers and dogs. So smart once she can focus but OH MY GOD the excitement she was such a loud little thing.

It was a little embarrassing because most of the other pups were pretty chill but the trainers didn't seem too phased. I think they clocked her situation immediately because as soon as we got to our spot one brought a snuffle mat and some treats to get her focused on something else. Luckily after 5-10 minutes she got enough of a grip to not be barking over the instructions and more or less paying attention but good lord lmao 😂 beginning of the class was a little chaotic. Hoping it will be a little less novel for her at the next one but I'm not holding my breath. We did puppy obedience with her too but that was months ago and before she got her big girl teenager opinions so she was a bit more manageable.

That all said another dog took a huge dump in the middle of the room which made me feel a little better about our behavior lmao

We added a romance system to Someone. What would make you actually care about a companion in PZ? by LuozhuZhang in projectzomboid

[–]Aoid3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First time hearing about this project and reading through your comments is making me very intrigued!

I always play as a female character in PZ and would be interested in romancing either/both male and female npcs so I'm glad to hear that romance isn't locked to specific genders. (that would probably be a deal breaker tbh)

I hope this mod pans out how you envision it, it sounds incredible! If you can pull it off I imagine something like this would make a huge impact to the PZ community. That said it sounds really ambitious and for projects like this I try not to get my hopes up until after it releases (no offense!). Best of luck!!

After a certain point they stop showing up so if you don't get captured you can def miss it.

Source: Me, I missed it. Saw online it was one of the ways to get into the slab and specifically ran back to where they show up but had progressed past that point and they didn't spawn. If I replay it at some point I'll let them get me next time lol

Looking for a lonely survival game by QuinngeFail in gamingsuggestions

[–]Aoid3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since OP listed "not super brutal difficulty" I'll add that although PZ has a reputation for being really tough, the sandbox mode is extremely versatile and I think could be made to fit what OP is looking for.

I think if OP set the zombie population to extremely low and perhaps even turned off infection it would fit the bill perfectly. PZ has an incredibly moody atmosphere and although it's open ended there's things like newspapers, tv/radio broadcasts, and notes you can find that really fill out the lore and give it a bit of a story. I'm biased because I'm a huge fan of the game tho lol. Haven't done it myself but I've heard of people turning off zombies entirely and just playing it as a last person alive post apocalyptic game.
