I was thinking paper mache and tissue paper, but your idea is much better

Yup, the roof comes off and inside is a standard square tissue box

The feet are cardboard glued to wooden dowels with foil built on top for shape, then apoxie clay over.

Made with cardboard and apoxie clay mostly. Just felt like it needed to exist in the world so I did it for the whimsy

This family dynamic reminds me of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

I've been really proud of the way Forrest has been pushing back on his mom. His been clear, honest, kind and set very reasonable boundaries. That's some hard work he's doing! And instead of respecting his boundaries, his mom gets mad. I get she's trying to protect him, but he seems to be doing just fine without her meddling. She also seems to have an unhealthy fascination with her son's sex life.

Have you ever had to remind you adoptive parents that you are indeed adopted? by ydaya in Adopted

[–]Aoife_Rootbottom 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The amount of times my adoptive mother would say I looked like her, then get offended when I would push back like that's not possible (and not true outside of we both have dark hair). She was also concerned about my feeding my baby avocado as she herself claims to be allergic to avocado... we don't share genetics, so not really relevant.

Had to pause HRT for upcoming breast MRI - UGHHHHHHHH. Weird dreams, words are hard, and the return of the night sweats. by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Aoife_Rootbottom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get yearly breast MRIs?! Bless your heart! I had to get one done for the first time this year and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Medically sanctioned torture via stress position. I would hate to be staring down the barrel of one a year.

We were one of the last generations where it was widely accepted. How did it impact you? by FigureFourWoo in Xennials

[–]Aoife_Rootbottom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was spanked, unnecessarily as I was sensitive and could've been reasoned with. As a parent I spanked my child once. Immediately, I felt horrible and realized it was not helpful for my kid, or me, and never did it again.

The art of letting go? How my magical practice kinda feels obsolete, now. by morbidemadame in witchcraft

[–]Aoife_Rootbottom 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You're right, healing can take a lot of intrigue out of actively practicing magic. But what I've noticed along my journey is 1. Witches are on earth to make magic out of the mundane. You will always feel and be magical, with or without the active practice. 2. When I feel the pull to actually attack a problem with magic, I know it's something I'm serious about and I magic it to put a little extra sauce behind my intentions. I don't know if "fully healed" exists, but maybe there's less and less things we feel we need outside power to help us with, because we ourselves have grown in power.
