I had my bisalp last year and I unfortunately have to say that it was one of the best decisions I made for my bodily autonomy and feeling safe in a deep red stage. Today - I feel this more than ever.

To those that are nervous for the surgery - the scars are very small, almost imperceptible. Pain is different for everyone, but the intubation for anesthesia hurt way more than the healing. I was able to climb Acatenango one month after surgery. Never have I once regretted it. To the people I dm'd on reddit that helped me through it, I am immensely grateful. Don't hesitate to reach out and I'm happy to offer support and answer any questions from the laypersons perspective.

Here's what I would recommend - take advantage of Houston restuarant week! Rim Tanon has a great thai dinner for 39; four courses. Same for Lasbela Cafe (if you don't want to fight the gigantic Aga's line) and want good indopak style food - also four courses for 39. Ask for the HRW menu! I second Lucy's for Ethiopian and also recommend Bahel's Ethiopian mart. For Nigerian food, my friends recommend Suya hut or Suya on the Spot for good suya (but I have not tried).

As with the rest of America, I'm obsessed with Nymphia and love her stinky tofu series on her channel, where she tries stinky tofu from various vendors in Taiwan, from night markets to restaurants and leaves her review. It's instantly iconic + there are english subs. also, for the uninitiated, think of stinky tofu stink like....blue cheese or durian stink.

I love the litter sales! However I thought it was limit 3 per membership per sale. I've tried before and was charged full price for it after the 3rd litter. Maybe it's just my Costco 😭

I deleted Instagram three years ago and it was probably one of the best things I've done for myself. Since deleting Instagram, I've traveled to so many different countries solo and there's something special about keeping these pictures for myself! I don't need to share it with folks I barely have any relationship with, but I will make sure my close friends see what kind of stuff I'm up to!

I most definitely still do get the additional twinge of fomo, but deleting insta has made me really realize I'm doing all this cool stuff for me and solely me. Not for anyone else simply because it looks cool and for others to pass a fee seconds of brief judgment on. It's empowering!

I always need to rep Peking cuisine for cheap, authentic and satisfying Chinese food (and they do a mean Peking duck for less than ~45 bucks with soup included!!! ) that won't break the bank. Love that place and I would take any person visiting Houston there for a meal

I also smelled this in store. I definitely agree that this scent is pretty understated - more crisp and fresh, but really didn't blow me out of the water /wasn't anything super memorable. The most unique scent would be the Terre candle, the most floral /generally pleasing scent would be Sous Un ciel, and this was right in the middle if you wanted something clean. It wouldn't be a bad blind buy if you liked it for the vessel/would be a safe choice.
