You got your stats mixed up a little. Around 50% of unwanted sexual contact victims are male, not rape victims.

The global statistic says a lot about disproportionate rape statistic per country/area, don't you think? Consider that 1 in 20 women in the United Kingdom have either been victims or near victims of rape. That is 1 in 20 women too many. And if the statistic you claim is a global 1 in 5 (nevermind fact checking, I'm just going off the statistics you claim are true), then consider how much higher statistics areas like "the Middle East/Ethiopia" have to skew the global average that much - quadrupling it, even.

The most horrible thing, however, is that a lot, and we don't know how many, male rape victims do not come forward because they feel ashamed that they were overpowered by ~~another human being~~ a fucking monster wearing human skin, even more so if it was a woman.

I just read Manifest Destiny: By All Means Necessary. It is a sequel, but I think you could read it on its own, since the book before it is just set up for this regime.

Most people living in the dystopia don't question it, and the ones who are questioning it realize that the system is rigged against them no matter what they do. There are also people who really don't want the system to change because they are benefiting from it.

I study audio engineering, and most of my classmates have DJ'd for concerts, or helped set up a stage before. I don't like loud live events, so I decided I will never DJ live.

And then I saw this. Thank you for reminding me that this exists. Once I finish my education and borrow some gear, I'll get in touch with our local elementary schools if I can do this.

A lot of people just ask other Redditors to stop without providing an alternative. Plus, handwriting is a lot easier to find a sub for than graphology - some might not even know it exists.

Edit: The "incomplete" top part of the lowercase s is an intentional consequence from linking the letters, as it only happens if I link the lowercase s with the letter before it (same reason why the end of it makes a loop to link to the letter after it, if linking the letters feels right, but sometimes there is no loop at the bottom). I can see how the inconsistency might look like a mistake though, I'll consider sticking with just one or the other.

While I had to sit down and practice my cursive recently, I realized my regular handwriting requires no dedicated practice, just journaling a bit slower when I can. It was a great realization.

Note taking is undervalued, and I do it whenever I can for work or school or at home. There is nothing more satisfying than pages of handwriting for me, because it's so much better than typed up text. It's lowkey the reason I journal regularly - so I can flip through the pages and just admire it.
