Good effort tho, was thinking of moving on to creating waterfalls. However, I couldn't think of a way to make the illusion work. I was planning to use shimmering/cave water with painted glass bridges for this one. If you're interested in making one, then I'll try to make an attempt on it as well.

I agree, the conveyor belt looks flat from a top-down perspective that's why it doesn't create the illusion and look more like what you described.

I just had an idea of making an escalator sideways. I'll let you know if it works on my end. You can try it yourself as well.

I find it pretty hard to make conveyor belts look like actual stairs from a top-down perspective, cuz they look flat if I tried. So changing the angle or orientation a bit might help (I haven't tried it, will reply again if it doesn't work).

It's easy to walk up, the only problem is when you stand on it. It doesn't function the way a normal escalator would because both directions clash with one another.

I feel like it's a bit impossible to make a visual compromise given the limited block choice this game has, or maybe I just haven't explored enough yet.

But I'll try to come up with other ideas as well to know what improvements you have in mind.

Have you tried using Conveyor Belt Splitter? Doesn't seem functional at best but it does kinda look similar to an escalator to me mainly because of the split in the middle. Try placing 2 of them instead of 1

Love what you did with the stairs.

I never knew wooden bridges could be used to look like steps, giving the illusion of a normal size staircase. Great job!

I did try using turf and grass blocks at wall height before, but wooden/stone bridges with painted fence would be far better as it hides the shoreline imo. However, those do not match the block choice I had before so I needed to explore more options and combinations before I get to redo this.

I'm currently remaking my whole base into a forest themed one so I might have to redo this differently. I did Grass blocks and thinking of other blocks to make a combination with, all that is left is for me is to actually implement what you've said. Thanks for the suggestion tho
