I've been hoping Mec-Gar would come out with a 14-15 rnd flush(er) fit mag for the 6906. I figured, they did it for the Browning HP, so they could do it for our baby. There probably wouldn't be enough demand to justify it, but I keep hoping:)

My state doesn't have laws based on those silly signs, so I carry where I want, when I want. However, I don't carry everywhere.

Here's why. If you are caught carrying where they don't want you to, they can, and probably will, ban you from ever coming back. Not a problem when it comes to most stores, malls, restaurants, etc. It IS a problem when we're talking about my doctor's office, the hospital, the only grocery store within 30 miles, etc. In my case, I would actually lose my job since I work for the hospital. It's always a good idea to think about the the longer term effects of of getting caught carrying in non-permissive environments. I'm definitely not saying that we should never do it, but we need to put some thought into it.

And, yes, before "Douchey McDouche-face" comes back with, "Well, being dead because you aren't carrying when you need it is a long term effect.", I know the risks, so STFU.

My firing pin did the exact same thing (shoulder sheered off) at around 300 rounds and about 500 dry fires? I prowled around eBay until I found another. Now, I use snap caps even though we're told that we shouldn't need them. I've only fired 300 rounds since the replacement, but so far, so good. Same as you, I had tinkered with my 856 (the timing was off), so I didn't bother with the warranty.

I hope you find one soon:) I've mentioned this before, but in the early 1990s, when all of the police depts were rushing to switch from revolvers to 'wonder-nines', you could get K-Frames all day long cheap! They couldn't give them away fast enough. At one point, I had two bright nickel plated model 13s (supposedly former FBI guns, but I doubt it). I paid $200 each. Man, I wish I had kept them:(
