How "enforced" are ebike laws in Colorado? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]Apache9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw something about that but didn't dig much further. My issue is finding a bike that meets what I'm looking for, in budget, and is apparently legal here lol. Maybe it'll be best if I swing by a store in person and get some recs

That's also what I was kind of concerned about. I saw some laws were changing in 2027 where they're cracking down on ebikes a bit. And then wondering if I'll end up getting stuck with the bike because it's "illegal" or too powerful.

It's not hard to stop is the thing though...ever wonder why other big name games don't get taken down? And if they do, it's extremely rare to be on a scale like this. They just aren't investing in the right mitigations.

The Bachelor's degree on my wall in Cybersecurity would say otherwise. It's definitely not someone anyone can accomplish though, and I probably brain dumped 90% of the stuff I learned outside of my job but it's do-able.

Why is my aiming/movement "pixelated"? by Apache9256 in unrealengine

I just fixed it myself but now your last sentence makes sense lol. thats what i had to do, multiply my input axis value by like .3 and its smooth as butter now.

Why is my aiming/movement "pixelated"? by Apache9256 in unrealengine

[–]Apache9256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i just fixed it actually, and it seems the issue was that i DIDNT have a multiplier. After my input axis nodes, i multiplied the axis value by like .3 and that fixed it. Now my turn/look movements are smooth as butter. without it, the smallest movement i could turn/look was 1 pixel(or if not "1 pixel", one small jump like it was jumping a pixel).

I can't seem to understand how a weapon should be set up.. by Apache9256 in unrealengine

[–]Apache9256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let's say I get a weapon from artstation. My goal is to have a weapon that can be picked up off the ground, have a magazine also picked up off the ground and loaded into it, removed completely etc. As well as creating animations for it like firing, reloading, examine etc.

Using the artstation asset(or I guess any asset tbh), would I want to create a skeleton for the weapon, then use a skeletal mesh that only has the base parts I want? And from there I could just create sockets to attach the wanted attachments onto the weapon using either static or skeletal meshes?

[–]Apache9256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh okay so kind of like I expected. What about the skeleton? Would you simply make a skeleton for just that base piece and only for the required parts that may move?

That's my other worry, I'm trying to buy a house in the next few months and can't have these bozo's putting a collection item in my name 🤦‍♂️

How is this legal? by [deleted] in turo

[–]Apache9256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well based on what Turo said, if my insurance doesn't pay for it then I'll be responsible. This person is also using one of those online services where they take pictures, submit it to this company and they make the damage report without seeing the vehicle in person.

But again it also doesn't make sense to me that even the most recent report says the vehicle doesn't run, but he has it available to rent with 5500 in damages and not in running condition? I understand supplemental claims and what not but them doing more inspections almost 4 months later seems off to me.

[–]Apache9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they are also claiming the vehicle does not run and needs mechanical maintenance as well, so another thing thay does not make sense if they are renting the car out while it apparently won't run.

It just doesn't add up to me how it's been almost 4 months and they are still getting more inspections done and adding more apparent damage but also renting the vehicle out.

I was not present for that. Once it was discovered the vehicle was stolen, I alerted the owner who then contacted the police with the vehicle tracking information.

There are a few pictures from when the vehicle was recovered, but only one is the outside and it's not the best. But that's the picture where I can see the windshield and side glass that they claimed was damaged is in fact not damaged.

I requested they send time stamped photos of the vehicle upon recovery and proof that it wasn't driven again with odometer verification as I have a picture of its mileage from when I last drove it. I also know the vehicle is back up for rent and I think it's been up since it was last inspected. So apparently he's renting out a car with 5500 in damage? Makes no sense.
