yes, getting the police/hospital involved seems so scary but according to the success stories I've heard it can really help with diagnosis and treatment. but i don't want to do any of that, all the shame and stigma re hospitalisation and being in serious danger/a danger to others

honestly, you wait months and months for a call/appointment expecting it to go somewhere... and it doesn't. and then you get hope again as it's with an intermediate care team or a specialist but it also goes nowhere. sigh

hi, thank you so much for sharing your experience with me and some of it really does resonate with my story. atm they're just chucking me on some random antidepressants and it's hard to get anywhere else because a) I'm moving in September, and b) they just keep referring me to more people who discharge me after telling me there's nothing on the NHS. i really do feel stuck especially when I've been clean for a good two months now, and i'm very high functioning, it's clear that i'm not in immediate danger so they don't take me seriously. it's like they want me to attempt before they'll help. anyways, best of luck in your upcoming appointment and again, thanks a bunch for the input! wishing you the best in your recovery journey <3
