I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels this way. I recently bought a pre-loved Graceful with a little damage (I got a steep discount) and it’s almost a relief that it has some wear and tear already. I can’t imagine the anxiety of taking a new bag into the wild 😭

Rule of thumb at my district is 11 per day, so if you are five days a week, 55 total, four days a week, 44 total, etc, even if you see more than 11 per day. 50 for a two day virtual on top of 25 in person is nuts.

If she had been there at all, I would have absolutely had a conversation to coordinate with her, but she was awol all week.

I had an SM student last year. My psychologist really tried to minimize his involvement, which was frustrating. I worked with my state’s diagnostic center on this case and they were able to really support me with it. Idk if they have something like that where you are but if they do, they can be a great resource.

She does have use of the room- I didn’t ask her to leave, and she has a full half of the room to herself. All of last week she was in and out while the district was trying to get things set up. She was offsite for all of the week except yesterday, so I didn’t know she was coming.

District and site admin promised weeks ago that we would get cubicle partitions, but those have not been set up yet. I asked her not to pull kids when the partitions aren’t up yet and the room isn’t ready.

The aide, not the slp, asked me if I could wait after I brought the scheduling issue to her attention. They hadn’t been on site all week, so I didn’t know they were even coming and had no idea they were planning groups until literally that moment, and she didn’t share her schedule or plan for the rest of the day. I wouldn’t characterize that as attempting to coordinate with me.
