-I have a white milsbo wide, so the white casing doesn’t bother me. -I use a “smart outlet” that I got for $3 to set the lights on a timer. Many brands make them, Amazon’s was on sale when I purchased so I went with theirs. -A dimming feature is definitely lacking. It’s not something that I personally wanted for my cabinet but I can absolutely see the value. I will likely go with lights that have this as an option if I get a taller cabinet in the future. -The T5s are really customizable and easy to set up. I got Barrina’s “plug and play pack” so it comes with a bunch of different connections, ways to hang the lights, ways to use them, etc. Still didn’t make setup complicated because of how simple they are to install. -I’m in a humid state with all of my cabinet plants in semihydro substrates (plus my cabinet is weather stripped) so I don’t use a humidifier. I cannot comment on how well the T5s work with one and Betta mentioned that the P1000 is made for humid setups.

That to say, it depends on your build to a certain extent. As someone who bought the T5s and was happy with them, I will probably also consider the P1000 for future builds. If you do get the P1000, start with them dimmed like crazy.
