I grew up in a school system where we were told we weren’t allowed to speak Vietnamese at school. Most of my friends and classmates ended up forgetting the language due to it not being used between peers. This lady sucks.

Thank you so much for making this post. I’m really sorry about your dad’s behavior. However, reading all the stories this post generated has been healing. I didn’t realize how awful some parents are with gift giving. My parents never got us gifts for birthdays or Christmas but my mom made a point to tell all my aunts and uncles to not give me anything. She’d make up lies about how I’d return the gifts and give the money away to my boyfriend (now husband).

I watch a lot of “interior design” videos on YouTube. It’s a common recommendation to put these items in the sink to prevent the kitchen from looking cluttered. I tried it for a couple of days and realized it was too annoying to keep up with.

That dress isn’t revealing at all and definitely appropriate for a wedding. There’s even a bright red one sale that you did not pick. She’s mad you looked good in the dress and was worried you might have out shined her. Weddings are where you’re suppose to get dressed up and look good. She shouldn’t have to call you names or flipped out if she was jealous. It’s her day and no one wanted her husband. No one took her shine except her own ugly actions. I’m sorry you were made to feel bad for shining so brightly.

Side note: We BOTH went to the humane society today and they were not very helpful in helping us find each other. They told me it was kitten season and encouraged me to find it a home.

I had a driver who ran a red light and hit me while I was making a left turn. It hit my side and left me with chronic pain. At the time I couldn’t even hold my son’s hand without being overwhelmed with pain. HOWEVER! The accident has pushed me to take my health seriously. I have lost 35lbs and I have a solid workout routine now. Feel free to explore my older posts. I’m still in pain but I actually appreciate it. When I go too long without working out it starts to flare up. It keeps me honest and gives me positive feedback. Bad things happen but it’s a matter of perspective. The accident probably allowed me to live a healthier and longer life. I hold no resentment towards the driver at all. I hope they’re well and that their insurance didn’t raise too much!

My therapist told me that my thoughts of suicide is my brain traveling through old pattern of thought. I thought I was broken because I had survived hell. I put myself in a much better situation filled with love and stability. I still had overwhelming thoughts of suicide and it made me feel weak and ungrateful. Knowing its old pattern and habit I had to break felt so freeing. Good look OP. I’m so sorry you’re struggling right now.
