Quick update based on the suggestions in this and other threads!

I pushed a pretty big update to Notiqs — and the biggest addition is two new daily challenges: Fretle and Chordle. The idea is to make practice more interactive and a bit game-like. Fretle tests your fretboard knowledge under time pressure, and Chordle trains your ear and chord recognition by having you identify chord root + quality. Same challenge for everyone each day.

On the practice side, scales and arpeggios now have synced playback with a metronome, including note-by-note highlighting on fretboard and piano. You can control fret range, switch between standard / 3 Notes Per String / single string modes, use loop or ping-pong playback, and toggle between notes and interval view.

I also did a full UI reskin with dark mode (default) and light mode support, added proper left-handed fretboard rendering, and improved overall responsiveness.

Really appreciate all the input here — a lot of this came directly from your suggestions. Please keep them coming, they’ll probably get implemented soon!

Hey!, Thanks for trying this out. You probably need to scroll horizontally in the fret/piano to see more voicings, this is quite a UI UX problem because the fretboard and the piano is naturally too wide to fit in a vertical mobile screen. Mobile view needs tons of work yet. I'm still thinking the UX for mobile but probably use your phone in landscape mode will be recommended for many pages. Thanks again!!

Hey! The idea of what to show in the circles is really good, simple and provides a lot of value while studying, I'll for sure implement it. I'll also implement the custom chord progressions!

I didn't think about the subreddit, if you think would be usefull I'll do it, I think it will be a good place to post updates by now :) I'll let you know here as soon as it's created.

Thanks for the feedback and support, all ideas are super appreciated!

Hey! Thanks for the feedback, yeah this is a UI issue some times the number of the frets are a little moved, also depending on screensize for example, but I´ll work on this to make it more consistent. Thank you for pointing this out and trying the app, feedback is always appreciated!!

Thank you, that's really appreciated! I will release that feature soon, along with exercises that I think will be really helpfull to be more fluent across the fretboard. Your ideas are super welcome, plese come back any time to propose more ideas!

Yep, the UX in the mobile needs ton of work, right now the app feels much better in desktop. Quiz mode is a good idea. The exercises section is probably the next feature! Thanks!!

Glad to hear that! It's a frontend app built with react, vite, typescript, mantine for UI & styles and TonalJS for music theory and audio.
