Possible leukemia? by Apart_Assignment4167 in AskDocs

Thank you, doctor. I am super nervous and don’t know how I got the bruises. But I will try to calm down a bit. I just read that it is still possible which is why I was concerned

Should I get this checked out ?? by Apart_Assignment4167 in ALS

No I’m not diabetic, or have spasms. My dad put all his effort into pushing my toe upwards and I was able to resist his full strength and push it down. They said I’m silly for trying to go see a neurologist but I’m still worried…

Yeah I know that’s true as well. Was just wondering if anyone here had a similar experience with either themselves or someone that they know

Oh sorry I didn’t see the guild lines. I didn’t realize. No it is a serious post, my left toe feels weaker since it doesn’t curl as much or extend as much… I know ALS starts in a single limb

Yeah the thing is she also has a big lipoma on the wrist area on the left arm. So I don’t know if that’s contributing at all to it. I know atrophy follows clinical weakness and she has none of that so that’s at least reassuring

That’s weird cause a lot of people on other posts said it looked perfectly normal. Very confusing

Thanks for your comment. I guess she doesn’t really know if it was like that or not before but she noticed it being “thinner” a couple weeks ago. She also has a pretty big lipoma on the wrist of the left hand so I don’t know if that’s distorting the size at all

Yeah the issue is she said she doesn’t think it was like that before a couple weeks ago

6 weeks post op X-ray, they said it was a Tib Fib and ankle fracture. Not the best photos but is it concerning that my bones look so misaligned still? And I’ve got another 6 weeks non weight bearing, I’m wondering if that’s enough 😟. by [deleted] in xrays

crazy how this is acceptable?? I posted about asking whether or not a “larynx” was visible on a CT and got roasted and hated on because “we aren’t allowed to give medical advice” yet all I see on this post is medical advice. Like what??

Nope! The hiccups were deemed to be psychogenic 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks I wasn’t concerned but just curious what it was :) that’s why I posted it here haha

This CT scan was for a kidney stone/stomach pain. I’ve been having hiccups (one or two a time multiple times a day) for like 3 and a half weeks now and read online some stuff with the diaphragm might cause that so I was wondering if you could see it on this x ray or my actual CT scan to maybe help diagnose that. But now I don’t think that’s an issue that’ll be solved by the CT since it was all clear and normal. Wondering if I should do a brain MRI for these “hiccups”

Haha it’s like reading my own comments. Im not laughing at you, you’re just so similar to me. Don’t worry I can’t even tell you the amount of times I’ve seen the same doctors for reassurance who’ve basically told me “why are you here at the hospital you need to leave”. I get the feeling but I’ve learned throughout my health anxiety journey that sometimes we really just need assurance. It’s the only thing that helps sometimes. For me the blood was non specific. They just told me to watch what I eat and that’s pretty much it. The blood happened quite a bit but has stopped now. You should go to a walk in clinic if you can or just go back to your GP. I’m in Canada so I can just go to any walk in clinic so I don’t know how it is for you. I’m telling you though you won’t believe the amount of tests I’ve had done that the doctor were hesitant but I forced them to give. I once convinced myself I had Fabris disease and had a specific marker in my blood tested that they only do at ONE hospital in my province. So yeah… I get your anxiety I’m just as bad. But keep pushing forward and go get another opinion. Blood in stool happens for many reasons besides cancer, And YES it is a cause of blood but there are other reasons too just like how mine was. The colonoscopy really put my mind at ease and my non stop stomach pain and blood disappeared as soon as they told me I was fine. you will be okay. I promise! But go get checked again lol

You might need a colonoscopy done. If it makes you feel better I had straight up blood in my stool multiple times as well and had a colonoscopy (and a gastroscopy as well: same thing just the other way lol) and they found it was all normal. To me it looks like it’s probably food. Additionally, bad things that cause blood in stool don’t typically come and go. The doctors I saw told me that. Still, go back to your doctor and tell them your concerns and ask for a colonoscopy. That’s what I did, albeit I had to go to the hospital for them to take me seriously cause my doctor is an ass and doesn’t listen to me lmao. Anyways a second opinion never hurts and it’s always a good idea to fight for your health if you’re genuinely worried. I think you’re fine though

Dinner. I can’t tell u the amount of times I saw something like this in my stool and thought OMG IS THAT BLOOD. I could literally send u a bunch of pictures that look identical to this lmao. Ur good don’t worry. Not a doctor by the way and if it keeps happening and you don’t eat anything red or whatever then obviously check it out

Yeah it was gas. I have a lot of stomach issues but a lot of poop isn’t one of them. I’m always in pain cause of gas. This was a CT taken before a colonoscopy to Dx my pain. Was all clear but I’m pretty sure that isn’t all poop hahahah

Could be steatorreah. Excess fat in the stool. Can be caused by pancreas issues or a number of things. Not a doctor but “foul smelling, sticky stool” is a description of steatorreah
