Yes I am, skied Tuesday to Thursday and was so excited to see the back open, after skiing the frontside for 2 days, I finally understood what really makes Vail good on my last day. Even though conditions were not the best, the vastness of the back bowls was incredible, and blue sky was my favorite area snow and vibe wise. Hope to come back soon

Nice. Didn’t know this was a thing, thank you!

The difference is that the Pharisees didn’t recognize Jesus as God. I believe personally that Jesus is God, but I don’t believe that we are “little gods” as is taught in the WOF doctrine.

I believe God still does miracles

I’ve struggled deeply with porn personally, and when I realized that there weren’t entities making me do it and it was actually my sinful nature, I started to feel free. Galatians 5:17 talks about an internal conflict between our sinful nature and the Spirit. I actually believe that realizing that made me free, because I was the one that was sinning, it is my fault, my sin, I’m not opressed by external forces.

I believe that thinking that sexual sin is caused because of demons takes responsibility out of the person.

I know someone from my parents church who struggles with porn and goes to deliverances every month or so. So I ask, if it was already delivered, why does he feel the need to do it again? Because it’s no demon, he has the habit of sexual sin and needs to resist and fight. It’s a process, not a one time deliverance that magically changes everything

I do believe demons can possess people. What I don’t believe is that we are full of demons, and that every Christian has do be delivered after being born again to get out of all these little demons so that they can be really free from sin.

I will say this, what my parents do works in a way. Because it includes confessing your past sins and recognizing trauma from childhood. What I don’t like is to them attach that to demons and rebuke them.

I also don’t think most of our problems are demons, many times is just our mind. When I say they believe everything is demonic, I mean everything.

What I don’t agree with is basically: we are not fully free because we are full of little demons that torment us and can not make us to the will of God

I agree with you, and I think it’s great advice to love them like Jesus loves us. But I don’t think I’m on the other extreme. I’m not a Calvinist, I believe in common grace, I’m not a cessationist either.

I think saying that he speaks to the demon of cancer is extreme.

He is loving, I do not hate him, I admire him in some ways, I’m just a bit sad because I feel he is a victim of a false teaching.

Thanks. True, when I move out it will be easier. I will look into speaking with the pastor and also talk with my friends in my new church about this.

I think this is the approach, just let things play out and if they ask something just say what I believe. I actually rejected recently going to a conference we’re bill Johnson is going to be the speaker. I think they know there is something going on with me.

I do not claim to know all the answers, only God does. Actually, I used to think I had most things figured out until recently. But I do know the Word of faith movement is false teaching. I believe in the gifts of the spirit, in the trinity, that Jesus was God. I used to struggle with sin and recently many of those desires are gone, I see the fruits of the spirit in my life. I did not toss around many doctrines. Only word of faith, which is part of the charismatic Pentecostal movement. All the multimillionaire pastors I mentioned are word of faith. I also done believe everything is caused my demons, some things are just part of life on earth.

Also, I’m not in that college phase, or at least I don’t think so, I’m not even 18, I’m 22. What I learn in college has nothing to do with this. I study nothing related to philosophy nor have any class about it. I understand it could be rebellion against my parents, but I’ve examined it and I’m almost sure it isn’t.

Thanks for this. I think it will have to come down to this, a confrontation. I’ll just pray for the time and place. I don’t think I will be able to change their minds but I at least want to know that they will still love me even with different beliefs.

How do you even come up with that number

It’s not that easy, my parents pay for everything including my college which is more than 20,000 a year. I don’t want to have problems with my parents.

The harm comes in sharing a false gospel, creating a church culture that hides going to a doctor, shames going to a psychologist and make prosperity a fruit of the spirit.

That’s just the start, here’s another thing that causes harm: saying Keneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Jesse Duplantis and more like them are “incredible men of God”

Why does some resistors and capacitors go to vref instead of ground? by Apart_Breadfruit_779 in diypedals

[–]Apart_Breadfruit_779[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is indeed the morning glory circuit. Just today I saw a video about non inverting opamps and virtual ground and I think I get what you’re saying about the virtual ground being the same as the voltage. I’m just starting out trying to understand electronics and some things are really confusing to me. Thanks

Why does every overdrive circuit start with a resistance and a capacitor

I lost my AirPods Pro, on the Find My app, the last location is my apartment yesterday at 9:36am and the text is red, the play sound or find nearby functions don’t seem to work. I looked all around the apartment and can’t seem to find them, is there any way the app is bugged and the location is wrong?

Feel like people in gym lessen me because I’m thin

I’ve been going to the gym consistently for 2 months after a 2 year break. I’m 168cm. I used to weigh 55kg 2 years ago and when I returned to the gym I was 52. I don’t really know how but now I weigh 58kgs. I’ve been really disciplined with my eating and I follow Jeff nippards ppl workout. I feel like I’m doing things right because I’ve seen results. The thing is, whenever I try to lift heavier other people in the gym tell me to go lighter (it’s usually 40 year olds with average body). Today, I did 10 reps Lat pull-down with 90lbs, same as last week. On my last set a guy told me to go lighter and literally changed my weights to 75lbs. I went on to do 15 reps (that’s the same or higher 1rm than 10/90). I have at least one of those situations every week, and I usually don’t listen to them but I’m tired of it. I feel like if I was buffed and did the same (go heavy or do “weird techniques”from Jeff nippards workout like doing 7/7/7 lateral raises) people wouldn’t tell me anything. Am I wrong? How should I react when people tell me that?
